Confessions of a former skeptic Hi all, Just read the ongoing discussions and thought that I share my two-cents worth. I had been a skeptic of all Phiten products ever since I heard of them. Being a science person in my daily routine, there was simply no basis for all the claims that were being made and I disregarded most of the published testimonials as placebo effects. That is until last month when I had a serious back injury after my weekly badminton game. For 2 weeks the pain was bad enough that I could not lean forward to put on my socks in the morning! Another inconvenience was that I had to sleep on my back, something quite uncomfortable for a side-sleeper like me. Sleeping on the side caused intense pain... . Yes, once I bit the bullet and ignoring the pain, slept on my side. The next morning was bad - I could not get out of bed. My colleague who is a die-hard fan of Phiten products then offered me some 'Titanium tape' to try. "What the heck," I thought, "No harm in trying!" and I accepted the offer. So I stuck the tape on my back and went about life as usual and forgot about the tape. That is until the next morning when I awoke ON MY SIDE with only slight discomfort. For a moment, I thought that some miracle happened overnight, then I remembered the tape. I reached over my back and yes, it was still stuck in place and has been on for a day. It has been 1 month since the injury and I am back playing badminton... hehe even bought the NS9.9K . I am not saying that Phiten products are miracle cures, they might not work on everyone, but it sure did worked for me. Since that incident, I have also acquired a necklace (X50) which I have on continuously. Placebo? Maybe, but as long as it seems to be working, I'll be a believer.
Since titanium is an inert metal, I'd say you have experienced nothing short of a true miracle. As such (and also because you are a 'science person'), it would be a great service to others if you would inform the orthopaedic departments at Singapore's National University Hospital and Changi General Hospital about your wonderful recovery - nay, cure. Please also write in to Singapore's Health Sciences Authority. You might even succeed in getting the doctors to do away henceforth with all medication and surgical procedures. Orthopaedic patients might need only Phiten from now on
Haha... touchy. Like I said, it works for me (or seems to, at least). Believe me, I would have given the same reply you did just 1 month ago. Then again, I respect your opinion. Peace bro!
Touchy? Oh no, I'm trying to help. All I'm asking is for you to share this miracle with others. And what better way than to convince medical scientists?
Phiten = sports jewelry I'm surprised that this company sells titanium laced drink, I wonder if it's FDA approved? There's some patent that was applied by some inventor proudly displayed on the wall. {At Takashimaya} They even sell clothing, mattress, ointment? A century ago, a miracle product extracted from snake seems to work as well. Speaking of titanium, I heard that in the world of pseudo science , Adamantium (related to titanium) supposedly suppresses the accelarated healing factor of the guy named Logan. How can Titanium actually boost the immune system if Adamantium fails? I think this product is what it is, a sports bling bling.
As long as the world has suckers, such stuff will sell. These con-jobs flourish on the dictum: "Have Money, Will Buy"
