How many of MAS back-up players will be sent to the 2009 India Open

    .
MAS back-up players have now been given a chance at the 2009 German Open.
Unfortunately they didn't do well there.

I wonder, after the German/England/Swiss series of tournaments, how many of them would be sent to the 2009 India Open at the end of March ???

Despite all the usual boleh brouhaha and chest thumping, look what happened to Malaysia so-called 'elite' back up shuttlers in the GO? All the talk and bravados before the GO turned out to be nothing but hot air.

The word 'elite' should be replaced with 'cannon fodder' instead.

Hmmm. Based on GO results, I think I can start guessing who the most worthy successor of LCW will be. ;)

Funny that WR1 had been mistaken to be another junior player.

Didn't TCS defeat GWJ and CWF take out DPY in their last and first meetings respectively? Player outcomes also depend on the draw.CL had a w/o,took out two unknown level opponents and upset a MAS veteran known for his fighting spirit which unfortunately was not enough to override his poor energy division strategy(maybe did not even have one) so that makes CL better than which MJ?
Judging superiority based on how far a player can go is too simplistic and depends on the luck of the draw. I would measure based on the kind of upsets or their head-to-head.
The MJs will continue to be inconsistent but they'll deliver sooner or later. What is important is BAM continue sending them to tournaments especially every SS.

I saw the match CWF against BCL. It was enjoyable match, and there was a funny story too. CWF asked the umpire to let him change his shoes at the 1st game. It tooks really long time, since the shoes was a new one, it's still labeled and have some papers in it :D

    That's not a good sign. :(:(:(

It showed that CWF was not really prepared/ready for his 'BIG' match against BCL.
