If TH wins the 2008 SSF, he might change his mind and participate in the 2009 MO . If TH wins the 2008 SSF, he might change his mind and participate in the 2009 MO. .

http://www.taufik-hidayat.com/index.php?mode=blog&act=detail&id=17 HOAAA YOUR RIGHT ! He decided otherwise. I am just praying that his back wont give up on him during competition
TH would not miss this SSF.. he try hard in the last SS (especially europe SS) to get him qualified to play in SSF.. so there was no point in withdrawing (unless he want to miss quite the big prize money) i think his injury is not that serious..he can endure it. i'm sorry if my post is kinda out of topic..
The 2009 Malaysia Open is really the topic for this thread . With the excitement of our coming SSF, I think many posters in this thread are talking about the 2008 SSF instead of the 2009 MO, which is really the topic of this thread. .
ya,i know that he had quickked from national team.Does anyone has his news?so he wouldn't take part in any tournament?
TH will come to malaysia next year to compete in the malaysia open 2009 Taufik’s gamble pays off as he reaches semi-finals KOTA KINABALU (DEC 19 2008): Indonesian ace Taufik Hidayat took a big risk as he defied doctor’s order, to play in the US$500,000 Yonex-Sunrise BWF World Super Series Masters Finals. Taufik revealed that he was strongly told by the doctor “to stay away from the Super Series” for fear of aggravating his back injury which played up a week before the tournament. “I did not train for one week. But when the BWF and my sponsors made an appeal, I decided to come after I finished a rigorous work out without feeling any ill effects,” said Taufik after his 21-8, 2-17 win over England’s Andrew Smith in a Group B men’s singles match at the Likas Sports Complex today. http://www.worldsuperseriesmasters.com/news_26.htm The win assured Taufik a place in the semi-finals and he will meet world number one and top seed Datuk Lee Chong Wei for a place in the final. “It’s scary as I am taking a big risk. Should anything happen, I am solely responsible … I won’t blame anyone if my injury gets worse. “My fingers are crossed that nothing untoward happens here. All my three matches have gone to the distance but I am not complaining.” Taufik, a former Olympic and world champion, has set his sights on winning the prestigious All England title which has yet to win. Asked if he will play in the Malaysian Open next month, Taufik replied: “Of course I will be there playing in the Malaysian Open. I still have two weeks to recover and work on my shortcomings.”
