LD is clearly a much better player than LCW....and I've to admit this eventhough I'm a big, big fan of LCW :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: But I'm still hoping LCW can reverse his fortune in HK Open (is he playing there?)......
I see LD and LCW more like friends rather than opponents. LCW lacks killer instinct in this game, at one point even played a lob rally with LD (!?). It seems like LCW is sick of playing against LD. Definitely a psychological disadvantage for LCW.
sorry for missing your post... but nice that we share the same view... I even got a feeling in the 2nd game today that LD actually also use LCW as warm up for next week's game in HK (played just like practicing)....
LCW looked distraught? Far from it! Fred mentally prepared him for a loss. He actually reacted rather casually to the last point. In fact he never bothered to fight in G2 since the Shanghai crowd supported him too late and got what they deserved: a scrappy,error-strewn performance from him, resulting in a short match. Try harder next year, Shanghai. You want a rubber match, know how to work for it. And LCW should ask for 3 Freds to accompany him to HKO.
This is from a post made 6 months ago: "Lee Chong Wei truly possesses an abundance of physical stamina (and skill). Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for his mental stamina. At times, LCW appears to be too timid an opponent for his own good, easily tormented and overrun by his own errors." Not surprisingly, it still rings true
LHJ looks quite sharp at the net today..man, i'm so jealous of LYD's age...so much vigor and bright yrs ahead...both pairs keeping a close score..
You must be joking. If CHN didn't care about rankings,LYB wouldn't have to use his infamous relay strategy. CHN team is now in transition and not in a position to dictate like before. But it's good to see LD win in his first real match after OG08.
no way china can win this despite they cheat with putting xd the last and md 2nd...lee/lee too much for arrogant xu and his patner
After some early tightness and determined resistance from the CHN pair, the heavily-fancied KOR duo take the opener 21-16
i can't imagine how good LYD could be considering he's playing in both doubles events and basically the playmaker in the XD...this is almost like sparring session to him...
If INA players had participated, MAS might not have reached final because INA would have beaten MAS to reach the finals?
I think limsy is implying that they moved the XD match after the MD one to give the CHN pair more of a chance, since LYD will have played and could be more tired
if i were LHJ, i'd treat LYD out every weekend after a long practice session...does she know how good it is to have a XD partner with the talent like LYD??...it's like all of your mistakes & loopholes are covered by him.. KOR pair moving along....in the lead 9-4
