He's not getting worse, just inconsistent. Can turn it on and beat the best when he plays well, but often is out early. Saw his match against Lin Dan at Asian Games 2006 final - was sublime. Also, he's getting older.

Hey, Taufik Hidayat did well in the Macau Open, but how do you think he'll do in the Denmark Open. I think he'll lose to Bao Chun Lai because I think he doesn't want to face Lee Chong Wei and cause another upsetting upset for Lee Chong Wei because they're good friends.
Even if they're good friends,i don't think TH will actually consider that as a thought for withdrawing the DO.As friends,i think they will also compete as a rival on the court,and be friends off the court..N IMO,Taufik isn't afraid to lose by whoever great players he's playing with.He's only afraid of playing with the unseeded players..since he'll most of the time only playing "yoyo".
I actually love playing serious matches with friends... Losing a match with a friend whom you know is good isn't embarrassing at all (in the case of TH vs LCW). From their previous match, I think taufik can play all-out when he plays chong wei

Taufik Hidayat is one of the athletes who relayed the torch in Asian Beach Games' opening ceremony in bali yesterday. Indonesia people still admit him as a top player. In indonesia If u ever get olympic gold medal, you will remain as a good player 4ever..
I thought he was going to retire after the Bejing onlympic, but he's still in tournaments now. Can someone explain this to me??
