    interesting. my impression is that Lin and Bao wasn't too happy with the WC in general. now Xia is out, it is time for these two very strong youngster to show everybody what they are capable of.

    but too bad they are to face each other. i believe these two have the strength to facing each other in the finals.

    Yes, but at the same time, the 2 Chens want to prove their worth also. Chen Hong has been in a relative slump recently and this is his best shot at finals, having beaten Susilo at last year's event easily. He desperately wants to show Chinese team and the world that he deserves world # 1 spot. Chen Yu wants to prove he's not just walking in his comrades' shadow and can hang with the best of them.

    Tough quarter-finals coming up now.

    indeed good point. so hard to be in a team with 5 strong players. many events like WC/Olympics only allow 3-4 participants from one country and the less well known / established ones are often left in the dark, and in China's case, Chen Yu.

    much easier when you are the only one holding the flag, sometimes.
