    Hi all,

Have a slight problem. I downloaded this program off a friend from MSN messenger. I later found out it was a .pif virus. It mainly sits as a shortcut in C: Drive and when im on messenger, likes to send its self to my contacts.

Im not computer literate, and was wondering if there is a good downloadable system to track it and delete it, unfortunately i dont have a firewall (d'oh!).

The main ones are sexy.pif, me and you pic!.pif

Any ideas how to shift them? It only activitates when messenger is up, i think its the w32.spybot.worm

Try www.avast.com for anti-virus and www.diamondcs.com.au for anti-trojan and anti-worm. Did you install spybot and ad-aware?

You really need a hardware firewall, Matt. One that comes with SPI and NAT are better. The really good ones have dynamic SPI but are too expensive :crying:

    Guys,

Done an online scan and found it. Had to go into safe mode, isolate it and then delete the files it sent through messenger.Cheers guys.
Got myself a firewall now though!!!
