Everyone does need a coach, even if it may not change anything during the games, but the player will need someone to talk to to release the nerve and someone can help to read the game from different angle. He only has coach for US Open and WC. For those events, Viet Nam team sends more than one player so will have coach to accompany them. The fund for badminton is not great in Viet Nam, for Nguyen TM, he has great family support to continue with his dream as professional badminton player, not so much from the association. I don't know about the sponsorship, but he has to find multiple sources in order to fund his trip to tournaments around the world.

You guys think Lin Dan lost on purpose. I was watching the game on center court seating, from 4th row. He looked wasn't serious and trolling. The body language was obvious to me. Curious to see what other people think.

Also on a another note. This is the first and last time going to China Open. The ticket was super expensive, compare to All England Open or Denmark Open. The stadium was brand new and facility was super nice. But drink/food option sucked. They ran out of coke the 3rd day. People are not nice, don't have etiquette, trying to smuggle people to the premium seating area. (2 friends have tickets and they go there then one come out with 2 tickets to get another guy and keep getting more people, you go out for washroom or drink and come back to see your seat is taken by some other people). Would like to if anyone else went there. And their experience.
