If Candra/Halim win and JR/Paaske win, Candra will be out for revenge and out aside the ghost of the WC finals..

Sorry, I cannot confirm the score. Also, this is only one source of report wrtten in Mandarin.
I could still be wrong as the report might not be correct, but it looks like Choong Hann will face Hyun Il in semis.

I am Malaysian but currently not in the country.

Where I am will certainly not have any badminton coverage.

I hope Choong Hann will be able to end his title drought this time, however, lets wait for results confiramtion first. Also, Lee Hyun Il is very strong.

    Cheng Shao-Chieh

According the online report where Wong Choon Hann's win over Taufik is reported, the main news is about TPE's Cheng Shao-Chieh losing to Mia Audina.

From the report it seems like she is a high school student? If that is so, then it is remarkable that she can bring the fight to Mia Audina in the first set.

I did misunderstand the report. Choong Hann won in 2 sets, not 3. Result: 15-12, 15-4.
