Were the malaysian players like Lee W.W using yonex racquets with G painted on the strings like WCH when he disguises his racquet? tir168 just msged me saying he saw a green yonex cap on one of the racquents when malaysia played malaysia in the mens doubles.

    So anyone any info??

The Msian senior players are using Yonex rackets at their own expense except for Chew Choon Eng as far as I knw.
Lee Wan Wah should be using the MP100 and Choong Tan Fook the Ti10.

With the exception of the Hashim brothers which are sponsored by Yonex, BAM players have a group sponsorship from Gosen.

 ahh...i was thinking that after looking at Thomas cup and the malaysian open, there were all Gosen sponsors for the malaysian team. Somehow, wondered how the bottom of the cap looked like and when the camera zoomed in on Lee Wan Wah, was suprised to find that it looked like that yonex one. Although, i read once that Winex had a similar one to yonex.

LWW uses MP100?? strange, it didn't looked red to me yesterday. Will take a closer look today.

Lee chong wei, ctf, lww all use racquets with a green cap at the bottom. Unless you can tell me of other racquet makers who use green caps at the bottom of the racquet and produce good enough quality racquets to be used by international competitive players, I would like to suggest that most malaysians I've seen recently are using Yonex racquets, than the previously thought Gosen Raqquets.

    ~Cheers

Gosen is supposedly supposed to sponser them. Wonder what is their definiton of 'sponser.' Then maybe we can understand why different pieces of equipment land in the hands of the malaysians. [IMG]

as far as i know, the malaysian team is multi sponsored. :D

just look at their t shirt.
got EON, Proton, Gosen, and even a small yellow strip on the shoulder that says 'maybank'.

even the malaysian open has multiple co. names on it.

i suppose they are not breaching the sponsorship agreement as long as they dont display other brands logo/emblem on their attire, or string. but i think most of them use yonex badminton string as well.

im still in the dark about the uniform mizuno shoes

WCH and CCM uses Cab21. Even the juniors that got to the semis used Yonex Cab21.

Most of the Msian team are using Yonex rackets simply because Gosen don't really make great rackets. But all of them are using Gosen strings. I heard that Gosen does come to make checks on them. As for shoes I am not really sure. Last I checked they were wearing Gosen shoes although LWW wears a Asics.

Gosen's sponsorship is not with the individual players but with BAM.
