From their appearance I'd say none of the Korean players were older than 18. I heard a friend mentioning the youngest in the girls squad was a 14 year old. Considering the girls beating Canadian (senior) national players, one can imagine the big difference in the level of play.

I watched the Koreans during warm up and some mock matches before the games. I was impressed by their level of skills, particularly the younger players. Their base skills are very good.

The last time I saw similar level was long time ago in a Chinese provincial team. There a 13/14 year old girl beat a local men champion in singles.

Another group of players that I really like to watch were the guys from England. They played very well but did not watch the games on the day they lost. Have to say in terms of technique it's much different from the other English players that I used to watch. Their play style is much similar to the 'East'. The doubles team was very good, smashing well and covering the net with good stroke technique - where intercepting, pushing and killing. Have to say I like them better than the ones that came last year. Even the singles player, though lost to a Korean player (I think), I liked his technique. Seems like England going the right direction.

Is this the same tournament as the Canadian Open? If so, then it has been downgraded as last year's CDN Open was 1* and now it's only A-grade.

Some of those Korean players could be even third string and/or juniors. Pretty sad the difference in play level between these Koreans and the top senior players from Canada and elsewhere. Imagine if some of Asia's first string players were sent!!!

Don't have results as they are still not posted. From someone who watched yesterday finals, all matches were won by the Koreans:

MS - Hong Seung Ki (KOR) vs Andrew South (ENG)
LS - Jung Eun Ha (KOR) vs Eun Woo Lee (KOR)
MD - Man Hwang Ji/Min Jung Hoong (KOR) vs Milroy/Chan (CAN)
LD - EW Lee/JE Ha (KOR) vs MY Kim/SY Jang (KOR)
XD - JM Hwang/EW Lee (KOR) vs M.Beres/J.Patrick (CAN)

If not in mistake, these 2 girls were the youngest in the Korean team - 15 and 14 years old respectively.

The 2 girls in LD. I think SY Jang, from her appearance is the youngest.

I was discussing with my cousin and 2 other foreign players if the Korean player was whether a boy or girl. All guessed that the player was a boy, I guessed a girl (because of more delicate features), and was right.

Saw this young girl playing later, and WWC, I am afraid even we 2 combined would not be able to beat her in a singles game. :p
