If you were able to convince the Yonex company to revive and resume the production of any discontinued model, which top three models would you choose? For me, it would be: 1. Yonex Boron 2 2. Yonex Carbonex 15 original edition with external T joint 3. Yonex Titanium 10 first edition
Armortec 500 An underrated sleeper in the Yonex lineup, one of the most buttery smooth, well balanced rackets from my experience Muscle Power 99 Just because I like the aesthetics, but I'm sure the playability alone can be replicated or even be improved upon by many rackets from nowadays. Titanium 10 original Never played it before which is why I'm curious. Aesthetic are quite nice too from what I recall
For me, 1- armortec 900 power all paint jobs available 2- nanospeed 9000 both versions 3- Arcsaber z slash all paint jobs Already played with the 9000x, really one of those rackets that you don't wanna sell Wonder why they don't do a nanoflare version of the 88s and 88d. That would be a best seller for sure since people tend to like head light rackets for doubles Sent from my EML-L09 using Tapatalk
I know you said 3, but I'm greedy! 1. Ti-10 Long SP Gen-1 2U 2. Carbonex 21 2U 3. Carbonex 20 2U 4. Boron 2 2U 5. MP100 3U
Yonex did some runs to revive a few classic rackets. MP99, Arc10, etc. I remember a retailer who is close to Yonex told me that they couldn't reproduce the Ti-10 because the raw material for the Ti-Mesh wasn't available anymore.
Z-Force 1 2012 is revived. Think there are some modifications done to it though. Lower BP. Slight shorter shaft. Seems it is easier to play with from reviews. Nanoray Zspeed orange seems to be reviving soon
I want to add some to the list. Yonex Isometric 900 SS, SR, SA and SX Aerotus 110 SP Armortec 700 1st edition
I just restrung an original carbonex 20. For some reason, I find my feeding shuttles much better with this racquet. Hmm, I did use it as my primary racquet for over ten years.
The first racquet I used was an armortec 150 I think. Eventually the frame cracked, so I would want another one for sentimental reasons. I luckily found a spare Nanoray 800 on an auction site last week. Would be great if they put that back into production as the dimensions on the nanoflare confuse me when I play (10mm longer head or whatever it is). And I was lucky enough to source a Nanospeed 9900 many years ago. I bought it in G3 size, so would be interesting to have it in a G4 size. Bonus request would be for VT80. It was the first expensive racquet I bought and I didn't even notice the frame came out of the factory warped. Still have it to this day.
You have a good taste Mind sharing what racquets you're using now? My List: 1. AT800D - I probably own the last one in existence. Would be good to get a spare or ten. 2. Ti10 3. MP99 - Only because I still have 3x CAB20.
Victor Auraspeed 70k 3U (original teal and orange colorway) as main and Thruster 9000 4U as my submain. Auraspeed 70k feels similar to my old beloved Bravesword 9 3U but with a bigger sweetspot, TK9000 4U feels sort of a hybrid between AT 500 4U and MP99 3U, although they're such old rackets that I could be misremembering. I do also want to try the AT 800D, from all accounts it sounds like a perfect racket for me except for its frame durability.
