Hi, Long time lurker here. I have made a free android app (Android 5.0+) to save my matches results and I thought some people here might be interested in using it. The app also generates some graphs and stats about my performance. - Wins, Losses, Win rate - Performance Trend graph (Wins - Loss difference VS Duel Number) - Results and Win Rate by month - Results and Win Rate by time of day (Morning, Afternoon, Night) - Longest win/loss streak You can also filter your matches to show only your singles or your doubles or all the matches against a particular player... I coded this app for my personal use as I wanted to replace that Excel spreadsheet I was using and it was also more convenient since I bring my phone with me when I play. If anybody tries it and have some comments or suggestions about features they would like to see added (more stats?), I'll be grateful for the feedback. Here is the link to the google play store : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jdlnlab.app.keepthescore You can also find it by searching for "jdln lab" directly. Hi there Great job in making those app. Would be intetested to know if such app is able to be enhanced so that it can analyze in any given matches all info in both court graphic and charts presentation about - key points that contributes into winning and loosing that match - pattern of play i.e summary of all pattern of outcome in a given opportunity i. e delivering a forehand smash - court coverage footwork speed - cardiorespiratory and musculoskeketal fitness level in any given rally selected I must assume more equipments needed to capture those above info isnt? SS
Hi SS, Those are some great ideas. Unfortunately, my app is very simple and it can only give you stats and graphs from the data you enter by yourself. (time, date, score, opponent, partner, location). - If you can do the analyzing by yourself, you can add notes to every matches and every players to remember their weaknesses and their tendencies. - I think the GPS on phones are not precise enough to accurately measure court coverage. (You also don't want to play while carrying your phone!) As for the accelerometer, I heard that you can't use it to measure distance as the error increases rapidly. - As for recognizing which stroke you used, the technology exists, but only for tennis for now I think. (You need to buy a sensor that you stick to your racket) DaCookie
That`s great.... If I could be control by a smart watch then would be great...you can remotely enter your data instantly.... is it possible to do so?
It would be a good idea to be able to use the app on a smart watch. Unfortunately, the app is only working on android 5.0+ phones and tablets.
great, Used it and felt it really useful, although I'm not using all the features, but the win loss and notes help me to develop on my game
