Sairul was born in 1980 and just turned 28. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sairul_Amar_Ayob

Btw, stop calling those in late 20's "semi-uncles"... It's so lame...

oh? ok then, the press puts Sairul as 31, 32, depends on which press.

Semi-uncles is lame? Uncles is also lame then??? I do not wish to label them as uncle(as some do) = old & down the hill.

You may nick name the players anything you wish..... some called Zakry/Fairuz as "The dwarfs" & other such nicknames, online & offline, which is worse. Or the other nick names the other baddy players have been called.
How is that/those not irritating & "semi uncles" is irritating??

First of all, I'm not the first one to say it "lame". Dreamzz has mentioned it before.

"Semi-uncles" is just grammatically wrong and not cool at all...

U can call them "veterans", "seasoned campaigners", or even "uncles in late 20's"...

As expected, the top-seed Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen beat Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan.

Rani Mundiasti/Jo Novita will have a tough battle against one of INA WD's arch enemy, the third-seed Yao Lei/Shinta Mulia Sari tomorrow.

Simon Santoso should beat Eric Pang tomorrow, while Pia Bernadet Zebadiah will also have an intriguing match against the second-seed Saina Nehwal.

Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita will also face another young Danish XD pair in Joachim Fischer-Nielsen/Christina Pedersen for a place in the Final.

<sigh> Then? ppl calling Zakry/Fairuz "The dwarfs", "The shorties" are cool?
Fuzzy (which suggests they're fuzzy & blurry all the time) is cool? BCers still continue using it.

There're ppl who call Sairul = Uncle Botak. Yap Kim Hock = "that botak guy" which to me is more degrading than "uncle" or "semi-uncle"

"Uncles in late 20s" is even worse, it suggests they're uncles already over the hill at 28/29,
    veterans = uncle age (>30) = old & drained,
"seasoned campaigners"... sessh that's too long to type, they wouldnt use it & no oomph. You'll be surprised how many "gramatically wrong" wordings become succesful nicks/slogans cos it doesnt follow grammar. + what is cool to one can be un-cool to another.

I did think of using the CCs for CCM/CCE as their initials happen to be the same but that sounds like Credit Card or another thing that's not nice.

Anyway, if you all think is not cool or gramatically wrong, you dont have to read it. I dont use, by now other ppl will use. There're other ppl call the players more degrading nick names.

well, in-house press - ie. a BC member who interviewed him personally - backs up the 28-this-week claim. See this thread.
