Lin Dan plays very aggressive. He smashes as much as he can. LCW is not in the game.

LD with the most amozing performance MS has ever seen demoloishes LCW.

Tang Xian Hu still looks calm just pats him on the back and says well done. Like proud Grandad!

LCW smiles on the other side. He knows whatever he did, However he played he could not beat him.

LD cries a bit, then throws all his shoes, racket everthing into crowd. And he doesn't forget his Army salute to every side of the stadium in his most perfect of victories.

The scoreline tells the story, it was not bad performance by LCW. This was the most complete, focussed and perfect display of baminton.

Well done Lin Dan, Men Singles Olympic Champion 2008

To be honest I don't think LCW played bad at all. Lin Dan was not Lin Dan tonight, he was another person I have never seen.

James was right when he commented on Lin Dan's performance. Forget Joko in AE91. This is the best performance by any player I've ever seen.

Lin played an almost flawless game, and you can't go much better than that.

From the first rally I had a very bad premonition. LCW seemed to throw everything at LD and still it got returned. At some points during the rally I was thinking Lin is dead only for him to return an ever more impressive shot.

This performance would definitely put the jitters in all his rivals.

The only regret was that it wasn't a memorable final. Quite disappointing really.
