    wrong.

technically this is a private forum and you have the priviledge to create thread and discuss badminton. you didn't pay for anything so you don't posses any "right"

your entitlement to human rights and free speech is not guaranteed here, although we try to respect those values.

so u assumed we canadians all are guilty before we've done anything:rolleyes:. Sorry buddy, we canadian is very unlike you, thanks god.
In case u still have any doubt, let me tell u something. Canada medal counts are dropping at each olympic. Do our gov't care? no. do we care? no. We don't make international noise whether we are winning OR losing. This maybe a new concept to u tho.

Seriously I don't read most of those threads as most of them do not make sense and are biased. But they have their right to make own points.

Clearly, the OP has never met a Leaf fan before or familiar with the phenomenon known only as Leaf Nation. Yes the worst team in all of NHL for 40+years straight!

Where I am its enough to make me puke and I even consider myself a Leaf fan. They make MAS fans look like their farm team fans, the Marlies (ie. non existant). Really I don't find the antics by badminton fans here all too bad, maybe I'm just used to the fan-atics here.

Firstly, this is a forum, and I don't think discussing conspiracy theories or making wild suggestions are illegal. Unless kwun says so.

Yes, Malaysian fans are passionate, they are outspoken and they are angry. Ppersonally, I am angry at Koo and Tan. So I write and I rant. If you don't like, just skip over the post. No ones forcing you to read anything. If you really really don't like this forum, go to another one. I'm sure you can find dozens of badminton forums out there.

Thirdly, I think the Malaysian passion is what partially shapes the construct of this forum (suddenly I am in higschool English again...) Imagine if all the members were to not give their opinion. What would they do? Stick to score reporting? Game conditions reporting? Admiring Bao's slender figure? Pretty subdued forum ain't it? The reason why I come here is because it is so vibrant with conflicting viewpoints being expressed and debated, (most of the time) civilly, of course. A forum is a place to express your issues on different events and notions. If you don't agree with it, why don't you join in like others have and post your rebuttal there? That way we can have an entertaining and (most of the time) civilised debate on what really happened... after all, this is what a forum is for!

Lastly, who cares about where you are from?

MAS fans live and die with every smash, every drop shot, every net shot, every clear....and they bring that passion to the forums. I may agree or disagree with some of their viewpoints but one thing I have to admire is their passion.

Don't let one Canadian tell you any different. If Canadian fan has their way badminton fans everywhere won't even register a pulse. :D

that's because there were 'moderation' happening behind the scene that u dunno see or know about. Same as london streets don't look like landfill sites because there are people removing garbages and street cleaners workig behind the scene that u dunno about.

Totally agreed. I don't see what's so bad about the antics here? Heck, many loyal fans of professional teams in USA/Canada (be it MLB/NHL/NFL/NBA) act 100x worse. Often enough insults and slanders are conveyed with every other word in a sentence.

Doesn't mean I'm condoning excessive whining, but there's always the option to ignore posts.

Coming from a guy in USA, your comments are very fair and objective! You win my respect.

Forumers can always choose to ignore or participate any threads.

About insults. We immediately see some insults/rough, uncivilized respond been posted in the forum when someone feel it is a lose of face when he/she is being told off. It happens all the time. The best way is still ignoring them.
