You are correct, badders7... ;) Thus there shall be a MS-qualification redraw tonight. The results will be available 9pm Jakarta-time at Hotel Sultan... :)

WD will also be re-drawn... due to the 8-seeds-requirement-in-a-Super-Series that they did not fulfill... MD-Qualification will also be redrawn due to the promotion of the seeds [in MD-Q]... who got promoted because Cai-Fu and Mateusiak-Logosz withdrew... :D

What's the reason behind his withdrawal (considering this is a home event)??? If I were PBSI, I would drop his name from the Olympics list immediately and replace him with Simon Santoso

    Truthfully?

Taufik asked to be sent to SGPR SS, but PBSI said no, because even Coach Mulyo said Taufik is actually not fit and will probably loose in the early rounds. Taufik didn't like PBSI's decision and wrote a letter to the PBSI management that he will not play in this year's INA SS and the Olympics!

Actually, I agree with you badMania... if this is Taufik's attitude, it is better that he retires now. Otherwise PBSI will fire him in disgraceful circumstances...

    TH's attitude

To me it shows that TH doesn't have the confidence anymore.

As a result of the WD redraw, among others we shall see on Wednesday:
Mel-Shendy vs. Fong-Mooi, #42 ranked pair from MAS
    Nathalia-Yulianti vs. Kamilla-Lena [6]
    Previously, Mel-Shendy should play Nathalia-Yulianti

As a result of the depleting MD participants, these pairs have entered the main draw:
    Rizky-Albert
    Dharma-Peter
    Aji-Suprobo
    Edo-Lingga
    Lu-Chen

So be it. Let PBSI take his bluff and don't send him to Olympic. With current condition, his chances are pretty low anyway. Also, expose all of these "demand" to the public so PBSI isn't the only one getting blamed.
Lets see how far his "celebrity" status will take him once the public see his selfish attitude.

Even with that, Taufik still showed up in Singapore last week (presumably on his own expenses??).

If that's what Taufik want, PBSI should just honor it straight away and give the chance to Simon. Who knows he might do a Sony and won a bronze medal??

Can that be done though? No rules or anything that'll prohibit the swap of players?
