I can't believe she's just retiring at the peak of her game, it's so sad. She's one of the best players to watch, man or woman
yeah, she`s also my favourite womens singles player in tennis but i cant understand why she retires so early?? whats the reason>? she`s juz 25 if im not mistaken.
There's a wild rumor, which i've heard.. ...about the reason why Henin suddenly decided to retire, which is similar to another women's singles player, i believe it's Hingis>>has something to do with using performance-enhancing substance. Of course, it's untrue for Henin.
she said that she lost "fire" in her. she already retired. retiring........? still under process? will complete this year grand slams? reluctant to let go Roland Garros, her best achievement.... shall be no problem. i am quite good in both world..........
ehehhe so kwun is an expert "swinger" hehehe on a serious note, i admire her for being able to make this decision while being on top. usually humans are greedy and can't stop. she's a fantastic tennis player.
well, you know what they say, "Quit while you are ahead". She's gone through a lot in her personal life already too. So I guess she's just too "tired". I will remember her as the small but spirited fighter that's made a difference among the giants that dominate the sport now.
Henin is a great player -- tough as nails despite her petite size with a picture perfect backhand. Her sudden quitting is typical of her personality when you read about all the trouble she went through and put her family through in her personal life. For those of you interested in her story, I would recommend the book "Tie-Break!: Justine Henin-Hardenne, Tragedy & Triumph" by Mark Ryan. It is an engrossing read about a talented yet flawed person.
Hingis was reported tested positive on cocaine. Both are under-sized but smart players. Very sad to see them retire. Especially when watching Justine beating the williams sisters back to back to win US open last year. That was incredible. Not just Hingis and Hennin, even the Williams sister once said they don't have the fire neither. Maybe female tennis players started too early like 14, 15, and got burned out after 10 years with millions of dollars in their pocket.
That's the problems with tennis players started playing with young age. I'm afraid that Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal will got burned out by the age of 25.
Henin is an excellent player! Please do not make untrue assumption unless you are so damn sure about the fact!
Calm down. I don't think he meant to say that. She is an amazing tennis player and the best around. Now she retires, Sharapova will become number 1 on the world ranking. In an interview Henin stated she retires immediately.
