I agree. So decided to pick the one that I thought would suit me the best. Woven 7. Hopefully I'll be as happy with it as you are with your Woven 2.

Good on you weinsteinium! Under pressure you made the best decision for you. Good luck.

erm.. i'm a novice badminton player, who is re-learning the game.
i'm not starting from scratch, used to have a coach when i was younger.
anyway, my playing style is towards control and placement, but i smash whenever i get the chance. and i'm very interested in some of the SOTX racquets.
i've basically narrowed it down to the D600, D900 and woven 9.
i prefer head heavy racquets that arent too heavy. something that can pack a punch would be ideal.
if mayb u have another good racquet in mind, pls let me noe.
i'm also asking for reccomendations in the forum and posted more specific info about wat i'm looking for

    many many thanks in advance

hi, im new to the forum, im 17, started playing when i was 14 got into my local town team when i was 15 n a half started playing for gloucestershire when i was 16, also got sponsership from sotx when i was 16 (not full sponsership but it entitals me to atleast half price if not free) i now only use sotx kit not only because of sponership but because i find it much better quality than the yonex and equiv (tho i know ppl will disagree). apart from shoes as sotx dont sell my size shoes :(

    i currently have
2 x SOTX Charm A-171 (strung with ashaway micropower at 23lbs)
1 x SOTX Power boss woven 2 (hardly use it) (sotx bs-963 at 22lbs)
and last week i got my new fave
1x SOTX Powerboss woven beijing 2008 special edition (1 of 10 in the uk printed sigs of lin dan and others).(sotx bs-963 strung at 24lbs )

anyone else got the beijing special edition?

try emailing ibuysports if they have W7 in stock because they don't update their website that fast.

Bought 2 w7's from max came quickly and he strings them with what you want if memory serves me correctly included in the price. Ibuy they came prestrung at low tension with what I felt was poor string so I restrung them. So put that in the costing as it makes a difference plus you will wait up to 3 weeks sometimes to get mail from the states. Plus the warranty part of it is also a factor. Bonus they are popular so if you don't like them you can sell them easily like I did. Nice racket but a lot better ones out there for doubles.

You can also look at Puppysports for SOTX rackets since they are the cheapest from what i know.

Guys, MaxSports has a promotion of the CP, Woven, and Diamond Fighter series. Buy any of the racquets stated, and will get a 10 racket bag for free. Comes in red, blue and green trim. Very durable and worth the package deal.

He's got all the Woven's, Diamond Fighters and CPs. I go there every week.

    I also just bought a Woven 7 - £55 from a uk supplier.... and it's awesome!
I was using a Yonex 800DE and didn't imagine the difference in feel would be so huge.
Great power and cheap - I don't feel im losing much defence, the smashes make up for it!
Find myself getting a little more tired using this one though and can certainly feel it more on the arm - sure I will get used to it though.

(writing this after breaking the factory strings on the 2nd day of use! i dinked it top centre hard so my own fault really)

Anyway overall highly recommended - may even buy another, switching straight to the 800DE after the string break was challenging.

It is a racquet that makes one a little smash-happy, isnt' it Vomit.
Quite addicting. Just don't let it make you one-dimensional.

How are you finding it ToxBad?:) Will you post your review?
And for us North Americans, you can rate the MaxSport experience. They seem a very decent type of shop.
