Didn't one Danish player had a recorded 375 km/hr smash? Was this achieved under tournament condition?

Are you serious? This number even topped FHF's record by a great margin.

yes, that's the weakness of badminton, if we compare it with another racquet sport, especially tennis. in tennis surely we can know the entire statistic facts. hope BWF can do better in this sector.

LCW has the fastest smash is like an April fool's joke...

The last time, I watched the WC 06 QF match between LCW and Bao... LCW's smashes were about 260(at most)km/hr, about the same for Bao... compared to Fu at WC 06 MD final with a 324km/hr.

I don't think the Armortec 900 power can generate another 60+km/hr of power compare to the Nanospeed 9000 that LCW previously used.

singles players doesnt smash as hard as the doubles players in tournament condition. Recovery is important after every smash you make. In doubles your partner can cover for you. In singles.. well that is what they call SIngles.

TH is the man :p i recalled hearing someone in the INA fans crowd screaming "six speed" to TH after he did a 300k smash vs Chen Hong lmao ..amusing.

LCW clocking 300 is unlikely really. if its LD i believe. But LCW, not really, 299 might have, but 300, nopes.

In WC 2006, Hafiz Hashim and Lee Hyun Il both hit a 310km/hr smash... just most people don't pay much attention on them.

    Taufik The Fastest

I think Taufik is the fastest ,he fired 305 Km/hr from the baseline after pedal back from the centre of the court.

While Fu Hai Feng standing in the centre of the court for the half court birdie which is nearer to the net, of course the angle is deeper
compared to the angle of the smash from the baseline.
No doubt that when the angle is deeper, the faster the shuttle will go.

And Fu manage to gain only 2 more km/hr from the centre
of the court where he no need to pedal back to the baseline.
If Taufik at Fu position,I got no doubt that he can fire more faster than Fu Hai feng.

The deeper the angle the faster the shuttle will go,If you ask any pro player which position will be more faster of course they choose the half court birdie from the centre compare to the baseline, unless you didn't know much about badminton positioning,or which position is more comfort to smash, this is actually to general in badminton.

still doesn't mean anything regardless of angle..we are talking about FASTEST smash..not greatest angle..we are not in a physics class here..

as wilfredlgf says...Fu HaiFeng is still the fastest smasher in the world and it ends there until someone breaks his record

True..but we can't really compare between MS n MD's smash record..since both of their game is completely different already.I often see 300+ km/h in MD matches..n u can name some of the players that has done 300+ before.Cai yun,Erikksen,Clark,Kido,etc....but never seen that kind of smash speed in MS.260-280kmh is the most often in MS...rarely see 300+,since the position to smash in MD is more vary than in MS.Since in MS,most of the smashes only happends at the backcourt..

WC 06 MD final, Fu hit a 308km/hr around the head smash... just an around the head smash is faster than 98% of all players' forehand smash. Plus Fu hit a 324km/hr smash in the same match from the back court while moving from one side to the other... The very 1st point in the 2nd game of MD final in WC 2006

The number speaks for itself, and there is no point in arguing facts with assumptions of this and that.

Anyway my post was meant for those who knows about badminton game and fact to analyze, not for those who came out with topsy turvy stuff just from the influences of sentiments.
