    I'll summarise that for you.

    China win.
    China wins.
    China wins more.

Kido and Hendra may have an opportunity in beating Koo/Tan next year. Provided if they can break their mentality of we can't win KKK/TAN. I foresee possible that may happen. If Koo/Tan rest on their laurels when playing MK/Hendra.. they might lose to the INA pair.
6-0 is nothing.. and i do hope KKK/TAN's runs against MK/Henrda will still continue in 2008.

However 2008 is not all about Kido/Hendra.. there are also alot of Darkhorses who is timing themselves to the Olympics. Nevertheless 2008 will be another exciting year for Badminton again.

Why would anyone not want to win an Olympic medal, if not the Gold, a second time?:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Other sportspersons would give anything just to get a second crack at it
Are we missing some part of the story here?

TG , I believe,is more thoughtful of giving other INA MD the opportunity. He had his Olympic glory;why deprive the second or third INA MD their shot at that? By OG08,they would be in good shape;it's not as if they are so far behind (They have beaten T/C before) or that Tony can guarantee INA a gold.

Tony Gunawan not even going under US banner? That was what US going to do, if Tony couldnt go under Indonesia.

It has nothing to do with that.....Tony is not US citizen yet so he could not represent US anyway...thats why Howard/Bob play together....he may go to beijing as a coach, not a player....Tony has his own reason not to participate Olympic...lets respect his decision eventhough many fans wanted to see him in OG'08....
    He knows this website well......

ok, was just clarifying news I read - it was an interview with Tony. Of course that was earlier this year when it was not decided yet.

As much as we must respect his decision, it's sad to hear this :(
I'd rate him as one of the greatest doubles players ever, right up there with Park Joo Bong :)
Let's hope that, after Rudy Gunawan and Tony Gunawan, there's another Gunawan waiting in the wings

There's Hendra Gunawan, but not yet of the same standard as Hendra Setiawan ........ much less Tony Gunawan.
