Yes.. His smashes is the most powerful we have among the MD field. Previuosly it was Fu Hai Feng. He is top in term of speed, but talk about POWER.. No one can match KIDO at the moment.
However, i did realised sometimes KIDO smashed wide  Maybe he jumped too high and misfiring to the wrong postion . This is one of the key factors for him to improve. Hendra was execellent in net plays, and as the Chinese media suggested, he is becoming an all rounded MD players -- Can play very well in net & at the baseline...

It was awesome to watch Kido smash… simply like watching Michael Jordan driving to the rim.. He is one good player… The one I like the most after Heryanto Arbi!

Theoretically, you are saying you would prefer to watch Harlem Globetrotters than LA Lakers or Boston Celtics??

Okay, here's my 5 cents on what i saw..

..i watched the last match of the day, the MD Finals, which i thought for a moment wasn't going to be broadcasted..thanks to the extended broadcast of a Chinese basketball game..:p

From what i saw, both Markis & Hendra were the aggressors and controlled the entire match, except in the 2nd set. And once again, as is always the case in doubles play, whichever pair can control the net play, that pair will most likely win the match.
On the other hand, Tony and Candra, IMO, seemed a bit tentative and played too defensively; a few times, a bit slow in reaction. Both were making uncharacteristic unforced errors, mostly by hitting the shuttles into the net (smashing or returning shots). They did show some of their fighting spirit and experience in the 2nd set, with Tony controlling the net and both players displaying some nice shuttle placements, off of the serves. But it seemed as if they used up all of their energies and had nothing left for the 3rd set.
But credits to both Hendra and Markis for creating and making their veteran counterparts play off-balance, and often times forcing Tony & Candra into uncomfortable and defensive positions, which ultimately led to Hendra & Markis pouncing the shuttles away on any weak returns.
Yes, indeed!:)..Both of them can learn from these 2 pros below on how to relax and...........smiiiiiile..:):D;)

Fake thread? You disappoint me! AChan even put a picture in that thread with us MD winners and MD runners up together with the rest of the BC team!!:D

Actually, I joked with Tony that we'll check him out to see wether he reaches the standard to join the BC team. We need a full resume from him:D hehe

So this was really what you were after, wasn't it? :D

I was trying to figure out why you guys were hanging around so close to the court... (and peeping into bags too). :p

    Poor Kido and Setiawan...
...they did the playing and someone else grabbed the money :crying:

PS: But for Cheung's black shoes, this pic would be entirely believable, say, ten years from now :D

I like your pic. I think you were good friend of them as I noticed Hendra reminded Kido to face a photographer and just smile for that pic.

What do you mean? We were so fast after the match, we managed to wash and get back into civilian clothes. That's why we look so cool, calm and collected.
