Not from North America, but everytime I have a choice, I would usually buy Chao Pai's. I have been regularly using them for 3 years now, and they are really durable and consistent in flight. Just to give you a gauge in terms of retail pricing here in Manila for comparative purposes, the red retails at approximately USD$17.00 per tube. For bulk purchases from distributors for a minimum of 100 tubes if I am not mistaken, it comes to USD$12.00
Where this shuttle manufactured? Could we know the Phone # or email so that we can contact them. Thanks
I have seen in the internet about 6 or 7 years ago the web site of Chao Pai. I have tried to locate the web site but couldn't anymore. Anyway, as far as I can remember, Chao Pai offered to manufacture the shuttlecock of your choice, package them with your own brand or label and ship them to you, and you can sell them without indicating that it came from Chao Pai factory. I don't know if they are still doing this. However, as far as their shuttlecocks is concerned, I find the red ones really consistent and last long, especially if played using techniques and placements more than with hard drives and smashes. They also last long with hard smashes, but of course, they succumb to destructive forces just as any shuttlecock. A Tip: To make the shuttlecock last a bit longer than expected, agree amonst your playmates to take it easy during the beginning part of the game. Use technique and placement for up to 6 to 9 points. After which, you may whack the birdie as hard as you can and expect that it will really last longer than expected. If your playmates can't do this, you may want to 'break-in' the birdie first by hitting it with soft shots about 2 to 5 minutes before the actual scoring game. It really makes the birdie last longer than expected.
markache@hotmai Thanks a lot for the link to the website. After a long search, I have finally read again Chao Pai's ads. So it's true, Jia Chang Sporting Products still manufacture OEM shuttlecocks. It used to be only shuttlecocks which Jia Chang makes. I couldn't believe it when I first saw a racket with the label Chao Pai in the year 2002 or 2003. I thought it was a clone of something. After seeing Chao Pai being sold in our sporting goods store, I was really surprised that Chao Pai made a lot of models. I've tried playing with the early model Chao Pai rackets also, and I find them very sturdy, reliable and can handle high tension. My playmate still uses his early MP Chao Pai, even after playing everyday and with so many clashes, restringing and beating, the racket seems to retain its original features. I've changed rackets already many times, but my playmate still uses his MP Chao Pai. However, due to budget constraints, we only buy and use Chao Pai Red on special occasions only - birthday tournaments and summer roundabout amongst ourselves. But we really enjoy using Red's.

I think the Purple and Blue are worth using too I used Blue in 2003(first year I play badminton) ,2004 change to Purple, and now Red(still counting...) ,But I do not get much progress in technique :crying:
so far it seems that the best of the chao pai series are the red and purple ones. but since their prices are relatively close, i buy the red instead.
