I saw articcle this morning. Taken from SOUTH MORNING CHINA POST ( Nov 30, 2007) reported by Chan Kin Wa Super Series finale unlikely to happen The Final Super Series tournament appears even less likely to take place after China said yesterday they would not take part. The tournament was thrown into disarray when the original host,Qatar,announced this month it would be unable to do so and the alternative, Kuala Lumpur, was also ruled out. It is believed China will gather for a month-long camp in Zhuhai after The Hong Kong Open,which means all their top players would not be available for the tournament,scheduled for December 18-23.
There are some possibilities here: 1)The SS Final less likely to take place after LYB stated that China Team would not take part (less attractive then it should be). 2) LYB had known that there would be no SS Final and then he made such statement (that China Team would not participate). After all, it is BWF the one who should be blamed, cos they fail to organize the tournament properly .
Hmm..so, it's confirmed.. ..oh well....does that mean our Hau-ge will spend Xmas and New Year's in L.A.??....or somewhere else (INA)??... ..well, i guess next time when we see BWF puts up a *To be determined or *To be announced caption, it means that the event could be cancelled...
Is it because the SS is not being held in China? I mean, without the, ahem, special line-judges, it might not be smooth sailing for China
According to RTM Commentator, SS Finals will be held Jan 2-6 in ALor Setar,Kedah. Those from Kedah will be extremely (X10) happy. COmmentator said they chose Kedah cos 2008 is visit Kedah year.
i will watching live on tv....... cant make it to Alor Setar dear Hau-ge, no sate feast................. however, if you are around KL area, we can have sate feast then........
The organizer is still in the midst of finalizing the deal.. With Sponsorship.. It may be a last minutes changes... Hopes not.
wait...... wait........ let me rethink........ if SS final is on 2+ of December, China cant make it, said due to badminton camp..... well, if it will be early January 208, i think that they can make it..... then, the competitiveness is back............
They wont make it...they will go to Zhuhai around Dec 6 ( according to chinese XD coach).....they prepare for Malaysia open....dont think they will go to SS final.......
