Well..ok,i get it.So,it's just a joke,ok..Maybe i was a lil bit on the emotions yesterday. All rite,my bad,..forgive me.:D:D:D..but i bet u will feel the same if others make fun/joke of ur player.Esp ur legends,ur idol, when ppl making fun of them just because they win less nowadays. At least u'd expect some respects from them,rite?..

i didn't expect much from u guys.If u can't have respect from others, then at least dont say anything that sounds underestimating them. Not much rite?

I bet..when i made a similar joke..some ppl would be upset like i was as well.So..my reaction is preety understandable, rite?

All rite..i am not looking for any further problems amongst us..if i was wrong about what i say, forgive me..

    N as i said b4..Tony/Chandra beat Tan/Ong..21-12,21-5..yesterday.:)

Let's put it this way. I know those medics. Between the three of them they've got roughly 40 years of medical experience altogether.

They do not follow badminton in such a fanatical sense and are not involved in the intricacies of the politics. They are volunteer medics. I've seen the circular inviting interested persons to be on the medical team to cover this event.

They only report what they can see and examine. I didn't see the mechanism of the injury so I cannot comment.

I mean, it's really easy to explain! I would do the same thing myself.

Initially, the injury may not hurt so much and there may not be significant swelling especially if you don't take off the shoe. So, if it happened in the 2nd game, why not carry on and see what happens - especially if you've won the first game.

Once the endorphins have worn off, more pain sets in. The swelling probably gets worse (because the footwear has been removed for a while). Your next match happens to be the world no.2 pairing - a pair where your chances were less than 50:50 even in the best of conditions.

DO you or would you risk aggravating your injury in a further match? Making it worse could put you out of action for more than 4 months in a vital run up to the Olympics which are 9/10 months away. Can you sacrifice so much time for just one match?

If it were me in that position, I would be very tempted to withdraw rather than risk more severe injury.

thanks for the fuller picture, Cheung.
1 question. If guo/xie were facing non-CHN MD today, would Guo have played?

On the eve of the big tournament, the coach is deciding team strategy.
Player: So, do I play attacking or defensive?
    Coach: Neither. You play injured.

No prizes for guessing the name of this coach. :p

    Off-Topic, You Bet

    :D:D:D:D
I heard he might be directing the Opening Ceremony at the OG 2008.
Well, he might yet make a movie on, um, intrigue in badminton

It could be 'House Of Injured Players' starring You-Know-Who :D

If I not mistaken, Misbun under BAM payroll, that is NSC. Misbun is also consultant coach for Nusa Mahsuri. Jailani Sidek runs Nusa. Look at their website. Since Nusa only have 2 players - Hafiz & roslin....

I dont know how Misbun's contract goes but he has coaching this way for years.

Misbun also helps Rashid to coach some of the juniors - Tan CS, Chan KB.

Confusing eh? That was why LCW (and KBH) had a hard time getting the approval to change coach to Misbun. BAM wanted all senior BAM players train under same coach = Wong Tat Meng. Initially they said only for a couple of months as test, if ok till OG 2008.

About having the right to choose tourneys for Hafiz - sure he does, he's the coach mah. If any problem, Misbun just twist his younger bro's arm. ;) It's like Misbun helping both his younger brothers.

As for LCW, BAM pretty much gives Misbun a free hand. LCW accords much respect to Misbun, normally saying, "I discuss with my coach and see what he decides for me."

The history part, I think sonnymak might have better idea

Not possible. LCW's just being polite. It's like Spore's PM and President.PM makes the recommendations and Pres. just signs on them.
