lots of fans waits outside the officials entrance for their favorite players, armed with autographing materials, they starts to line up right after the match finishes. these ones are already waiting for BCL long before he got out and by the time BCL leaves, there must be 30+ girls out there screaming and cheering!
Tang Xinfu as mentioned is back on the Chinese team, which is great for the Chinese and probably done so because of Olympics and recent decline of some players. here is the best closeup i got of him from a few feet away.
thanks Han. naturally, 90% of the journalists are local Chinese. by their affiliation their reports are going to be more Chinese oriented. i just write what i see and hear. but unfortunately what i see is limited by how much time i have. i just don't have time to go interview players like other journalists do.
oh dear, caught on tape slacking off!! seriously though, it is very tempting to just sit there and watch the match instead of taking photos! hehe. i have connections...
rumors has it that quite a few teams got together and complained about how the tournament is being carried out, and as a result, we see very few incident on the semi-final day. let's hope that will continue for the finals.
kwun, by any chance (from Msia's camp), do u know what's Wong Tat Meng (WMC's coach) tactics when WMC facing XXF?
sunday. they have reduce the court further to just one court. organizer seems to have prepared more for the final days. i saw a few sets of drums in the arena, as well as very very loud PA system with proper announcer. sounds exciting!
turns out drums are being played by what look like elementary school students. and then there is dancing...
please be aware that the national language of Malaysia is Bahasa Malaysia, and not Bahasa Melayu as was reiterated two weeks ago in the Parliament.
lots of dancing. must have gone through 4 or 5 dance groups. Saralee/Sudket and Nova/Lilyana are all on court warming up for their finals match. audience are starting to trickle in. not very full yet. but i expect it to fill up very quickly. got some photos of the cups, flowers and the podium. so you know what to expect...
