Li Yongbo finally shows up today. he hasn't been sitting on the coaches chair during a match, but we know that he is around and have seen his face many times. he can hardly walk from point A to point B without being stopped by a journalist. so he is behind the curtain "getting right to work at what he is good at" (i got this quote from a fellow journalist's mouth.. )
my personal kudos to Sudket/Saralee, Zheng/Gao is not easy meet and S/S played very well. they were a bit affected by some call objections (some are questionable, but there are at least one that i know and saw is a good call) on the 2nd game, but they kept on the pressure and won the 3rd game very closely.
I met the legend badminton player, Tan Joe Hok...he is on his 70's but he could walk fast ...he refused to take a bus but walking from hotel to stadium and vise versa....I enjoyed his story, rivalry with Rudy Hartono, friendship with Tang, etc.........
BCL won his match against PSH. and immediately he went up to the place where LYB is sitting and talked to him.
Wah.. ..kwun, hope you got plenty of rest last night, bro!!...Don't want to see you get sick and won't enjoy next week's HK Open (and get-together).. Anyways, looks like you're back to being yourself today, with a few new posts & pics...Just take it easy..
taking photos are time consuming process. besides sitting there and actually taking the photos, also need to download, filter, rate, and then convert and upload. the arena itself has lots of spot lights and very warm. but here in the media room it is quite cool. unfortunately, they have some sort of concert going on outside and it is really loud and annoying.
Oh my... ..you mean eventhough one is enclosed in the media room, one can actually hear the "loud & annoying" noise blaring from outside of the stadium???.....
i am sitting here downloading photos while the INA vs. TPE match is going on. luckily i get to see glimpse of it on a TV here. the funny thing is that even though the match is just around 50meters from where we sit, we have very bad reception for the TV broadcast!
i noticed that Tang Xinfu was sitting at the coaching seat and coaching CJ. i hope that means he health is now better and helping out the Chinese team again. other thing i noticed is that Zhang Yawen gained a lot of weight while Wei Yili lost some. used to be the reverse!
oh. the biggest news personally for me today was actually breakfast. i had breakfast with ... Rexy, Hendrawan and of course HuangKwokHau, in the middle, TonyG stopped by and said Hi. and then all the time we were talking about match fixing and bad line calls and Saralee was just happening to be sitting behind us!
Hahaha... ...and everybody was all there, all ears, listening to the chit-chat..hehe...And well, should we be surprised, Hau-ge is really enjoying the company of the players/coaches...When Hau-ge is present at a tourney, there's no place where one can escape from him...
