    Super Series Finals

The venue and prize money of the Super Series Finals will only be announced next week. It will probably be held in KL if no other cities fight for it and the total prize money will be at least US$500,000.
Lee Chong Wei (MAS), 2nd spot at both world and Super Series rankings, behind Lin Dan (CHN).
Taufik Hidayat, world number 6 but SS ranking at 12, needs to do well in the remaining 2 SS in order to qualify.
The remaing six spots go to Chen Jin, Chen Hong, Peter Gade, Kenneth Jonassen, Sony Dwi Kuncoro and Boonsak Ponsana.
In Men's doubles, MAS world number one Koo/Tan occupy 2nd in SS ranking, behind Fu/Cai.

hey,Oldhand, I must tell you some good news.I used to can't read Chinese until 2 months ago when I enrolled for a Mandarin course. It has been so enjoyable because my classmates are from different countries (Australia,Austria,France,Hungary,Thailand and Vietnam) and some lessons are so funny because it's like the TV programme 'Mind Your Language'.And the Chinese Language is so fascinating,it's easy to learn. Now I can read, write and pronounce correctly.By OG08 when I know 3000+ characters,I would be able to read Chinese books or newspapers or sina.com! And travel well in Beijing except I haven't got the OG08 tickets yet.
If you're keen, the school is Ikoma tel 62380288. The teacher is important;specify teacher Cecilia or Nina.

actually i'm hoping that it will be in some other country where badminton is not as popular...in this way we can promote the sport...but well...seems like it'll be held in KL again...BWF should have a super series tournament in eevry continent...especially in NA...the sport is booming there...also maybe in SA or Africa.....

Now a various of media outlets reported that SS final could be in Kedah.....I suspect that BWF havent got solid commitment of sponsorship...hope they can resolve it soon....

    So sad

How can badminton prosper under this kind of management? This is the SUPER SERIES FINAL, what else can be more grand than this and yet we are not able to find sponsor(or too many sponsors hence don't know which one to chose, say it in a very nice way?) ... Just pass it to the country that is more than willingly to host like China, I am sure China is more than capable in both financially and spiritually. Else just cancel it and admit badminton is not quite there yet for Super Series Final. This situation is very similar to the last Grand Prix Final in 2000, once Brunei refused to sponsor then it was dead. So sad, just when we think things are looking up ... (tears rolling down from my eyes, pouring now ...)

i wonder how many spectators will be watching in Kedah?
Beras Jati sponsorship? one of the Malaysian team's sponsored-company...
i will not travel to Kedah to watch it... let's say it in Alor Setar, 4-5hrs driving from KL..... nah, i better watch it on tv....:D
too many speculations now, what we can do now is wait wait wait for BWF confirmation............

Its all not BWF's fault.. there are also other organisers as well who is also doing the job.
