Ooops wrong.. I was there last year DO when they played too. Now only I remember.. They wore yellow shirts.. I mean Rian and Eng Hian.. But at that time didn't pay attention to them. Hahahahahaha.. This time will..
You should, Yannie. I am sure you will support him. They played very well last week in Dutch Open. I hope the best for them.
Rian said maybe his match is the last tomorrow.. Dunno why tournamentsofware didn't update the schedules for tomorrow yet.. Zzz..
At least 5040 ranking pts from Denmark Open SS means that it's a worthwhile trip for Rian/Yoke in Europe this time round. They can relax and enjoy the match against the top seed today. Next week, their ranking will further shoot to no 35-40 from 51 this week (23,950 pts). Target is 35,000 pts by end of the year to make it to the top 20 with 11,000++ pts to win from the Vietnam Open, Russian Open and Italian Challenge to go. Reasonable target: at least SF in Vietnam Open GP -- 3,500 at least QF in Russian Open GP Gold -- 3,850 WINNER at the Italian Challenge -- 4,000
I think Rian-Yoke can do better in the Russian Open GP Gold... =) Because: 1. Schedule of the China and HK Super Series. We can predict that the top world pairs will be at the China and HK Super Series in succession ahead of the Russian GP Gold... Not many can compete well after 3 successive tournaments in different parts of the world... 2. Russian Open schedule is too close to the Super Series Finals. Russia Open is 4-9 December, while the Super Series Finals is around 19-23 December. Thus, the 8 top pairs in the world who will be competing at the year-end finals will most probably just prepare themselves for it. I want to mention SEA Games, but that's only applicable for INA who sends their top team to this event. 2. Budget of Asian Federations and Clubs. Since Russia Open is far from Asia and appeared so late in the 2007 competition year, the Badminton Federation in Asia might not have enough budget for it... (mmm... I might be wrong here because the Korea National Team, Malaysia National Team, and the Japanese clubs have lots of money)... Rian-Yoke, on the other hand, won't be going to the China, HK Super Series, and SEA Games... So, after the INA National Championship, they can recover and prepare 2 whole week just for the Russian Open.
ehmm... eVen Rian Lose frOm hendra/kido.. but i think, they already do the best.. and i think hendra/kido also not easy to win from them... they are Just lose experience ^ ^... JIA YOU RIAN/YOKE !!! u CAn DO iT !! beinG a wiNNer in the neXt tournament ^ ^
great match yesterday.. last match of the day, seriously very interesting.. badmania is right, 3 sets then won by pelatnas..
Hah.. ..i bet it was...so were you cheering in the stands, with Hau-ge & fastdrop, or the players' only accessible area??..
i was sitting with INA players with Anne too.. seriously they kept giggling all the time.. weird. hahahaha especially sony, i dunno what was so funny!!!
speciallY for Rian... don't be sad !! haha u know that i'll support u all the timE !! haha u will read it right ^^ don't be smile =) already buy clothes for me???? ahhahaha
Pretty inconsistent shows by Rian/Yoke.. Beats the more experinced pair of Luluk/Alven in R16, but lost to the more fancy MK/HS... They are still way to go before reaching the class of current top MD pairs.. But their determination & fighting spirits plus a couple of great skills, especially from Yoke could be the key to their success ...
Inconsistent? I think we INA fans all agree that QF is the best they can progress to and facing the World Champion is always hard. Stretching them to 3-sets is already a tremendous achievement I believe Rian/Yoke just need more playing hrs against the top MD fairs and they have shown great progress so far. 1-2 years down the road, they will be among the 4-5 pair. Rian/Eng Hian have already shown that they can breach the top 8 in 1 year. Rian/Yoke have only been paired for 0.5 year and they are already in the top 40
Overall, a successful Euro-trip by Rian-Eng Hian this time... Let's see whether their 2nd Euro-trip to Russia & Italy will be good for them too...
They've done a really good job, Rian-Yoke I mean.. I think they lost bcs of lack of experience.. kido/hendra's in a higher level than them.. with time, i guess rian/yoke can defeat kindra..
don't worry they will win .. btw did you received the souveneer from rian ? ... rian knows about this BC forum.. and he may read them .
^ ^ yuP i'll receive it.. HaHa.... He always see this BC forum... After saw it , smiLe... n have a big head =P ups... He will angrY hahahahha...... but he's so kind.. not arrogant
we stayed closer to cheer Rian/Yoke...I have to say that this pair is very explosive....I hope Yoke's can be a bit patience then they have a chance to beat other players....they need more Super series and pressure to mature their games...Rian's shots are unpredictable.....Cant wait to see them in coming tournament....
