Hah.. ..i guess the prayers are answered??.. Psst, yannie, you should **try** to go during weekdays & support him there..
I'm sure he'll be able to pass the first few rounds.. Lets keep our minds potive here.. Or, maybe you can ask Rian to visit your university or something.. LOL..
Yannie, come to Jakarta when you are on holidays. Close to Fuzhou... Only 5 hours away by plane... Oh, actually, are you still based in Fuzhou, Yannie?
Off topic-It's.. ...a Javanese proverb...And here's somewhat of the translation or explanantion of the meaning (hope it can make some bit of sense to you, yannie): Judge not from the cover There's a javanese proverb that says "witing tresno jalaran soko kulino" .. meaning something like 'Love grows as you get used to the other person(s)' Is it for real? As a matter of fact, some people say yes, it is... However, they also say that there's only a very thin line separating love and hate. So, there's a possibility that you end up hating the person>>*grill* *bbq* *fry* Most of us are very visual people. Self-image and 1st impressions are what people worry the most. Medias overemphasize the notions; from tv, magazines, ads, movies, etc. We are trained to judge others from the cover without spending 5 more seconds to flip the cover and see what's inside. As a student/young person of life...some admit that they still have their shallow side despite of the right education from my family and schools. People from all over the world and from different stage of life (and mind) are interwoven with each other... So close that we don't realize it. Temptations to judge people from their look are so great as so many beautiful creatures around But then... sometimes it's so hard to really look the 'real' person within since everybody, regardless how they look, has their own insecurity that they hide so tightly. Another case, sometimes they are just hiding their real life from you completely. The 'true' person and the 'real' life of that person won't be revealed (voluntarily or accidently) until months or years afterward... leaving you startled and paralyzed. Well, that's life... with all the tricks in the pocket So, now.. hypothetically... You meet someone. you give yourself a chance to get to know each other and start accepting him/her. But deep inside, you know that the cover isn't exactly what you prefer... Will love, compassion, and all those good stuff conquer all? And another question to ponder... Do unattractive people have less opportunity to advance their career?.. **that's something deep**..
Or.. ..yannie, one can also translate that as: "Seeds of love come from bad habit(s)"..or something like that..
Off topic-Yeah.. ...sounds like a movie title....I wonder if yannie will ask Rian for his own translation version?!..hmmm
