My prediction is the true enough.
Lets say AS wins the 1st set. Look at the score on the 2nd set. its far apart at 21-9.
Like I just said just now, AS does not have the stamina to chew the rubber set.

    That's true.
Just saw Sportscenter India on ESPN and this is exactly what Anup said.Said when he gets back he needs to work on his stamina and that he felt he was tired and fatigue from his previous games was a factor.

The positive thing he said was that if he can improve his fitness levels he can compete with 'practically anyone' in the world.so that's good to see..he's got the confidence and we can only hope that he continues to do well and does not just stop here.

just saw game between dan and anup..... anup is dam tricky but tends to make to many simple errors.. could have taken it to lin dan if he just kept on moving him and around and then attacking dans backhand. lin dan also looked nervous as he made some careless errors. anup made him look human. maybe he'll get a next time though.... good luk to lin dan

anup has good reach, that is why his cross court smash and drop are very effective, plus he dont have to dive. Reality, LD was in total control, lifting and clearing to add variety, not because he has to. LD was even confidence enough to play lotta trick shots, something u dont see much when playing against TH, LCW or PG. U play trick shots because u r 'owning' your opponent. I would say LD only used ~75% effort overall in this match against anup. No problemo.

Agree. After watching the first set that it seems to me that the score didn't reflect reality.

    1. From what i see, AS's pace is slow. i think LD doesn't like this. He has to much time to think of what doing with the shuttle. That may explain somes stranges shots in first.

    2. AS is such tall and that even when he is in center of the court, he is able to reach lines in just one step. Thus he doesn't to move and can intercept much more easily.

    3. In addition with his slow pace, AS is delaying many of this shots, and once again LD has all the time of the world to cave in and that's probably why he has sometimes been deceived.

Dont misunderstand me. i'm not a LD fan and i don't say AS hasn't play well. congrats to him for beating TH and HH. humm.. well ok, for HH that was easy :D (no pleazzz don't hit me mas fans. i'm a CTF/LWW fan's :p)

mehhh... ill have to disagree with u only on his pace. for his height its quite hard to be agile and speedy. but he does have good pace. other than that he did produce some strange shots haha. hope to see more of anup in the future making it into the semifinals and quarterfinals.... in my eyes a very interesting playerr. good luk to him :D

In his interview after the match against Taufik, Anup said he is 189cm, about 6' 2.5".

this match showed me convincingly that LD is truly a talented player. LD has lots of arsenal (skills) to adapt to different players. To those diehard TH fans, if TH is more talented than LD like u guys alway claiming, how come TH can't man handle Anup? TH was playing 100% trying to not lose while LD only needed 75% effort to finish the job with comfortable margin.

a very good and consistent player is diffrent from a talented player
a talented player is not fully produced from a 'factory' or torturing practise :D,

TH practises badminton less than Lin dan does :p, but he can still win some tournament, altough he's inconsistent :p

Seems like now BC forum has 4 different groups of members in the tournament forum side:

    1. More neutral group
    2. Ina die-hard fans
    3. Malaysia die-hard fans
    4. sarcastic fans whom bound on die-hard fans at any given moment...LOL:p

    soccer:

    brazil:
we can pick up a very good player in the street easily, becos most brazilians are talented soccer player
    Indonesia:
we have trained very hard our players, still can't produce very good one :p.. ,

That's because INA does not have a good soccer tradition so the talented guys may not play soccer or even they do they could not get good training and guidance.

Why China can produce so many good badminton players but no good soccer players it's because some good badminton players from Indonesia came to China for polictical reasons and they trained many chinese players. Without them China can not have so many talented players if China does not hire some foreign coaches just like volleyball , gymnastic , etc.
