I would be tone down my expectation of LCW, he is humble person for all I know, and proven that pressure and high expectation does not work well for him...underdog status and when people write him of, as prior to IO07 Open, he turned around and perform very well...therefore even though I would like to see him win being the first MAS to do so, I would not so arrogant and cocky as to pile up so much unnecessary pressure on him.

I agreed with you mate..LCW is a true humble guy..However, without pressure MAS won't be able to achieve anything...expectation are up to others...he is a pro and he should be able to handle it...its not unnecessary pressure to him as suggested by you...If he have the will and mind set...sky is the limit mate!!! and nothing can stop him from being the next Olympic Champ and he has proven his record!!

I see a good chance for KKK and TBH to grab the MD Gold.

Hope that LCW, and Wong CHoong Hann would perform better, and see both of them in the podium.

The chinese are getting stressful because it's held in their home-ground.

if lcw maintains his current form, he has an excellent chance to be in the final. In OG, the pressure on the top players to win is just tremendous. The big deciding factor is their mental concentration and who wanted it more.

Based on track record, Lee Chong Wei had NEVER performed well when he was seen as favorites.

There is a chance.. nothing is impossible. i would rather LCW play as a 2nd seed. Favourites hardly win in these kind of tournament.

    It depends..

...where they would meet..For a chance of meeting in the Finals, as i recall in my post a bit while ago to OTB (OneToughBirdie), LCW must be ranked #2, 3, 5 & 7 and LD must be ranked #1, 4, 6 & 8 or vice versa~i guess those #s will be LCW's "lucky" no. for next yr:cool:...Outside of a Final appearance, both just have to be ranked within the same group of seeding...And, IMO, the #1 seed will have a bit more pressure going in..;)

can i just ask, does everyone here really want LCW to win, or is it they just dont want LD to win?
i wouldnt mind seeing a european winning, such as Gade. but i also wouldnt mind seeing an "underdog" such as Wan choon hann, Sony or someone even more random like Wacha(though odds are Very Very small).
anyways, it would be nice to see LCW up on the podium somewhere

Not possible, MAS player will never perform if someones have high expectation on them. PRESSURE......
They can only win on Open tournament..I know is sad for me to say so, but this is the fact...
