Most valuable players came from all those teams lost to CHN.
Without them or if they all boycotted, LYB will let LD to play BCL, XN vs XSF......hehehe

Zheng Bo and Gao Ling should be the unanimous winner as this pair beat all the capable pairs enroute to the final.

    The MVP goes to ...
    - Zheng Bo/Gao Ling for their important contribution in every CHN matches. Especially Gao Ling, maybe she is another version of CHN's famous Ge Fei. Against Flandy/Vita, Gao showed her mental strength to handle hard pressure in crucial situation.

    - Lee Chong Wei, his brilliant performance to beat any opponents including the toughest one, Chinese ace LD with all straight-set. Even only LCW that prevented CHN whitewash. I guess, LYB and all CHN MS focus now is LCW.

    - Cai Yun/Fu Hai Feng, undoubtedly they're in top-form and invincible, particularly when this world champ' shocked Koo/Tan and also their convincing result in finale

And the most thrilling and exciting match of SC/07 is Flandy/Vita vs Zheng/Gao!

Limpele/Marissa should be mentioned as well, they were so close in upsetting GL/ZB. They r performed better and more dependable then Nova/Nasir.

Koon Wai Chee should be given some votes to an MVP canddiate. She filled in the injured Wang Chen's shoes well and helped HK to remain in Group 1 of Sudirman Cup by creating the stunning upset in mixed doubles and then winning 22-20 in the 5th game of the rubber set of women's doubles.

I believe that the best WD pair (excluding CHN) in this Sudriment cup belongs to the Hong Kong pair which defeated the Thailand pair to keep Hong Kong in group 1... the 3rd set went to deuce and they came out on top!

yeah, i think HK's feat of staying in division one is much more impressive than CHN's feat of winning the cup.

That's true, most valuable players are the one that make the team better. Team China has too many of those MVP players hence for individual MVP, Hong Kong pair should be the one.

Glad to see quite a few bf members believe Hong Kong's WD pair deserves nomination for WD MVP. It must be tough for the young Chau Hoi Wah to withstand this pressure.

Should Hong Kong's XD pair of Koon and Njoto be nominated as MVP as well? Their shocking upset over the Thailand's Sudket/Saralee is equally as , if not more, impressive as Koon/Chau's victory in WD.

For Hong Kong's WD pair, it was more of preparation than handling pressure... as said by their coach, that when HK's XD and WS won their matches, they expected the MD to finish off the match and bring home the victory. Then, as we all know, the MD failed to finish the job... and fortunately, HK's WD pair was prepared for battle mentally before the match even started.

On paper, Thai's WD is much stronger than HK's pair, and if not because of the fact that HK's pair was well prepared and mentally tough; there would have been no chance that HK could have done so well in the match.

I truly believe that if you are well prepared, then pressure is not a big deal because you know deep down that you are prepared for all possible situations and you are already doing all you can do to win... so you have lived up to your responsibility no matter you win or lose.
