Vera is very good at raising the Ragunan girls... Some of them are talented. They are now as feared as Jaya Raya and Djarum in the under 16 and under 19 WS... Well, especially in under 16...
I just found out....too bad that they could not make it at that time..... After Susy and Mia.....INA does not one good WS to rely on.....that can challenge Kor or China...even Taipei, Sin and Malaysia, Eng can beat our WS,,,,hopefully Maria can fight and take points from Hallam....this ENG gal is good....
Ok, thanks.Congrats to England and lots of luck to Indonesia, I'll be rooting for my dear neighbours.I'm sure my bibik will be pleased as well.Bye2.
Did you call BIBIK? not Babu??.....yes...support us..so Eng has to fight INA and us in virtual world.....
Well thank you thank you... Although... your name sounds very Japanese to me... Sounds like that White Rabit Warrior Usagi Yojimbo... Actually, there was a Yojimbo samurai legend too, right?!?
Ragunan club! Yes, Jaya Raya is also located in Ragunan area, but Vera's club is just called Ragunan...
The legendary director Kurosawa Akira directed the samurai comedy YOJIMBO back in early 1960s, starring Mifune Toshiro. Both of them reunited two years later to make its sequel SANJURO. YOJIMBO was remade 4 times by different countries - the latest one was the Hollywood remake LAST MAN STANDING starring Bruce Willis.
the day isn't over yet, ladies and gentlemen. right now USA is playing UKR. MS Eric Go (USA) vs. Vladislav Druzchenko (UKR). Eric trailing 15-21 / 16-18
Back on. Congrats to ENG for dispatching THA comprehensively. They deserve their SF spot. If THA had taken the 1st match XD, who knows. Even Andrew Smith put up a spirited effort against Boonsak, which indicated ENG were ready to play. When Tracey Hallam dispatched of Salakjit with ease, that was probably THA's last chance. ENG wrapped it up 4-1. MAS as expected lost to CHN but some commendable performances by the unexpected. MAS XD gave a good account of themselves. Anita Kaur troubled ZN in the first game and exceeded the total points I had allocated for her. Then the MD and WD disappointed massively with their poor play before LCW gained the prize scalp of LD. So 4-1 to CHN as most had predicted. In group 2, as expected SIN qualified for the playoff with their 4-1 win over Germany, who rested XHW but still won their only point in WS through Juliane Schenk. That made TPE's 5-0 thrashing of SWE academic. Meanwhile JAP is taking on POL and it's in the rubber in the XD. POL has shown very well in this edition of the Sudirman Cup. India are currently taking on Scotland in group 3. SCO won the 1st game of the XD 21-18 but IND leads 18-16 in the 2nd. Promises to a close one with the home crowd pulling for their heroes. As a sidenote, Canada is taking on France. They're level in games and playing a close rubber in the XD. GO CANADA GO
Took a while to go through the thread (65 pages!) from where I left off but was glad to see many INA supporters, relaxed and sipping wine, add to the excitement. Unfortunately, one got banned for his over exuberance. Not many ENG fans... where are they?? As for the majority of the posters, the MAS fans, some interesting (and off topic) comments but most seemd resigned to their fate after THA lost the XD.
in Group3A, France is almost for sure to top the group. USA and CAN are at 1 win 1 lose each. and both have 4 points. the outlook is better for USA as they are playing the weaker UKR while CAN is playing the stronger FRA. so as long as USA either wins or gets more point than CAN, they should end up in 2nd place. if CAN beats FRA, then we will have to re-evaluate the whole thing altogether...
