actually, U can just send the damaged racket back to the dealer and yonex will fix it for you. However, it might take a long time. I got my at700 fixed 3 months after I sent it back ...

Since this thread has been revived a bit. I think I will have to say that the ti-10 that kwun had fixed is now broken. It broke while I was smashing...

Just recently rebuilt the handle of my Cab10 (again) will need a new pin soon as the ends getting fairly mashed when I heave it out of the handle. Good point to not is too use a vice to squeze the pin back in place after you glue the handle back to the shaft.

 

My NS8000 has a little bit of paint chipped off at where the shaft meets the cone on the very top. I can see a little bit of the exposed graphite. When i swing or wobble the racquet there is a clicking sound. Should I be worried?...What can I do to stop it from clicking? I don't think I can risk taking apart anything...

 

Thats the classic sound of the Handle starting to come apart, if your not confident in sorting it yourself then take it to someone who is, explain what the problem is and have them refix it for you.

so if i add ruber glue to the cap, it'll absorb more shock? i do wonder...

 

I found paint chips on the cone, when i push the shaft towards the chips it makes the click noise, but when away from the chips, no noise. the cone seems pretty secure too... what to do...

 

I'm kind of worried...But I don't know of any solution to make the clicking stop. Kwun, any way we can fix the clicking sound?

 

Isn't this because you can get more leverage if you break it in the middle?

 

Helpful thread this is but unfortunatly im having trouble getting the cone apart... is there any tips to remove it? i've tried putting thin needles inbetween the cone and wood to break some of the glue but that doesnt seem to work.. :crying:

Kwun, how did you manage to remove the shaft from the handle? I tried it and it seems impossible! I am trying to remove the shaft of a broken racket from its handle so I can replace it with my Amortec's. (Its handle broke.)

I removed the screw, and the cone, but my main problem is removing the shaft from the handle. It seems like the glue--whatever is bonding it--is quite strong.

 

i experienced the loose cone before.It's caused by a tiny break on it.My swings loses its power.Then i decided to return it to the factory n they help me changed it.Now,it's good as new.

 

I have that problem too and my cone is rattling like a shaker already...

 

If the Handle isnt broken or loose then getting the shaft out of the handle should be near imposible. But assuming its loose or broken then a twisting action removes it pretty swiftly. (Take the pin out first).

To Mr Chong the solution would apear simple, buy a new handle a few bucks and it saves you having to remove broken shafts from handles.
