I fell that Yonex was killing Momota by forcing him to use 99 pro racket. And you know what ? Lee Zii Jia was also "forced" to use 99 pro racket, and what's happened ? He was out of BAM to back to his old racket.
why do they force players? If te players lose it isnt good for them right?? They could just make the racket look like another racket if it is to boost sales of a new model or something.i see no other reason.
I think LZJ's BAM exit had more to do with him wanting to go independent and build his own brand like he is doing now. got his own team and doing well.
rackets are difficult business many intermediate & advanced players can feel the subtle differences between rackets.....but very few can 'click' & perform the fullest with a particular one & most importantly aware of it
Good that SYQ has the sense to keep attacking and injecting pace now and then, otherwise it'll be KN controlling most of the rallies and attacking at his own timing.
I don't recall a single match where LCW misjudged the shuttle landing out on the backcourt line, and then doing a desperation hit (like LKY) to keep the shuttle in, as many times as LKY did today. In general, my memory of LCW was that he was decent at judging the backcourt line. But of course, LD was probably one of the best to judge the backcourt line. I have a hard time remembering LD misjudging the backcourt line and then pulling the same desperation shot to keep it in that LKY was doing today. If LD did it during his career, it was pretty infrequent.
SYQ seems unable to keep up the high-intensity game for too long. Possibly what happened against CTC yesterday took quite a bit of energy from him, the more so as the tournament wears on, somewhat concerning, I'd say.
Maybe SYQ was hoping to conserve some energy for tomorrow's match with LZJ and hadn't expected KN's resilience in G2. Just saying.
