Seems pretty normal for LZJ, when looking at his career.

Momota lost to Chico again in R1.
I really feel for this guy. Hope he pull his shorts soon to avoid going down the ranking list and facing seeded players from R1. Nowadays, even unseeded players started to beat him . It is going to be tough for him in the near future.

Well Kento is finished after his car accident. He managed to get to a final this year after a series of retirement of his opponents. Sad to see him like this and now he is the worst of the Japanese MS players.

He needs a long break or maybe it’s time for him to retire

This is my personal opinion . Lindan, in his final years still had fine control and made the opponent to work harder to win a point. Kento momota's case is totally different. Disasters in his life especially the accidents everything made him a player what he is now. Either he need to change tactics or call it quit. He has to decide now. Because his game does not take him to previous form and MS has evolved in recent years as well. Thanks to him. Evetybody is accustomed to his kind of style and already found a counter play to his style. But he does not believe it seems from the interviews he has given in recent times. His coach is a stagnant point for him. He can do better than what he is doing now. Only need to change the style. He is not that old . 28 is not old if you ask me.

Back-to-back premature exit for home hopeful Momota and sixth R/32 defeat in this season, three local MS players advance including Nishimoto who scored noteworthy performance to frustrate Indian rising star Sen. Momota catastrophic form is getting worse, blew away three game points chance as his mental has been shaken and defense suddenly blunt to halt Wardoyo deadly attacking shots.

Lee ZJ was under the spotlight when he decided to skip CWG in Birmingham to dedicate fully focus on World Championships but the result is far from expected then he was ousted in opening round here, seemingly he still has problem with inconsistency as Srikanth strategy worked well to trouble the tall Malaysian.

Just four seeded players remain in MS last sixteen following Anthony Ginting gave walkover due to low back injury which he suffering when played Axelsen last week in Tokyo.

Yeah, LD still makes opponents work for points. i cant see it in KM. Opponents are scoring at will and seems to have alot of confidence facing him these days. And LD > 32 years old

Momota and Minions look to be in the same trajectory but i can still see Minions playing SF onwards, i can hardly think that with KM. Added to the fact that MS is way harder to bounce back than MD.

What I really want to see is fajar playing mixed double.
Fajar is an all rounder, he could be playing well in mixed, the problem is who can partner him to beat the top XD pairs.
But I think there is a chance in next year sudirman cup he might play XD if none of the Indonesian XD pairs are capable of beating the top 4. Maybe they will make Apri doing double duty

Every player has their golden time.
Whether due to age or due to injury, the decline will surely come.
Momota san dimmed, the minions sway, that's how it is.
It's very rare nowadays that a player can stay compete in the top level for such a long period.
    That's why ahsan/setiawan is a GOAT
