So why isn't Watanabe playing MD this WC? Is it because him and his partner weren't ranked high enough in MD?

If Watanabe has the fitness to play MD and XD, it's a waste for the Japan national team to not pair him up with a top MD player. Watanabe is one of the best MD players in the world, if he has the fitness, he should be playing with another top partner in MD.

he has been paired with higashino since they were both very young teenagers , ive seen there high school games, i think Watanabe wants to play XD with higashino as they been playing together since teens and thats why endo retired because he wanted Watanabe full attention ….. please correct me if im wrong .

I think Endo retired because he was too old to play for the next Olympics, and there are still a lot of other good MD players on the Japan national team. Usually, a new partnership will play for at least a year, before the Olympics. So Watanabe needed to be paired with a new MD partner.

It was a slow start to the first set by Watanabe and Higashino. But then they picked it up. The result is pretty much what I expected.

Unless the German XD have some type of a huge upset, I think Watanabe and Higashino should get to the finals.

Akane and Marin are making this feel like it's a Finals match already. Both are just so crazy good.

Utterly useless umpire. Marin can waste more time than Naraoka and Antonsen combined without consequence.

To me it feels like the competition is weaker than lets say 5-10 years ago.

    One player is dominating.
    Competition feels weak.

Two sides of the same coin.

That does not necessarily mean you are wrong.. comparing absolute level of different playstyles between different time periods is just hard.

Bhai, I disagree. Those 7 points were very short and it happens. But I think the INDIAN team dominated the match entirely "except some parts of the second game". Relentless attack has been their strength and they back it. Chirag was shouting "maarte re, maarte re" (keep hitting, keep hitting). They were very good today, so no complaints.

P.S: Bhai, aap tho lakshya sen ka zerox lagthey ho !!! :D :D
