Such a shame we couldn't see axelsen and momota in their prime at the same time

Knowing Singapore’s priority into sports it’s highly unlikely unless he goes independent. Such a waste though he has so much potential and his physique and speed is amazing. Just need a little twerk on his game plan as many people has figured it out since he “ came through with a blast last year “

With 2WC and almost the same number of SS titles. Throwing the 1OG gold as well is probably the difference with Momota.

I guess Axelsen will be gunning for LinDan next. 30SS titles , 2OG, maybe 1 more WC. Will he be the best ever badminton player?

Seriously AG is a player whom I really enjoy watching and has really amazing skills and speed but VA just makes it look easy in disposing of him

It's almost impossible to catch Lin Dan tbh. 2 OG titles, 5 WC, 6 AE titles...and even if viktor come close to that you should take into consideration that he has a 3-14 H2H record against his biggest rival, guarantee he wasn't the same player as he is right now but still..

Its not really fair to look at H2H when comparing players from different generation.

What are you talking about? Viktor won the WC in 2017, including beating Chen Long, on the way to winning it. Arguably, Viktor has been in his prime since 2017.

He was no where as dominant as he is these last 2 years, just look how he trashed his opponent this year...I don't think that's the case in 2017.

Don't think Axelsen can surpass LD, he still need one more OG and 4 more WC and he is 28. If he is few years younger, might have a chance.

Did ginting used all his energy against Syq yesterday? If he played like this yesterday, he probably would not have won lol

Viktor is way more dominant than momota back then, simply outstanding performance today.

It was Chen Long that Viktor beat in the 2017 WC, I made a mistake. Viktor beat LCW in the 2017 Dubai SS finals: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_BWF_Super_Series_Finals

2017 was a stellar year for Viktor, wining the WC, and also winning the year end SS finals. So no, I disagree with you. Viktor was in his prime in 2017 as well, and has been in his prime since then, but Momota got the better of Viktor between 2018 and 2019.

Yeah VA has been around for a while, many of his losses against Momota shown he has been there but Its Momota that is missing now so there arent many chances they will meet to fix that H2H because Momota already lost in R1 and R2 these days. Especially so when Axelsen is truly on top and he will trash Momota if they meet every tournament just like the last one.

They already met many times prior to Momo accident right.

Number of players in rapid need of mental coaching is increasing.
    Srikanth, LZJ, SYQ, Jojo
Such a shame seeing talented players losing matches to themselves.

Tang and Tse lost the first game. Really hope they can get to the semis. Our funding from the government will be better. My kid will benefit :D
