A bit too much of a celebration for CWG, but hey good to see India bag MS and WS golds :)

NTY almost beat the WC gold, silver and bronze medalist in a single tournament.

I just can't accept a player who purposely lose the 2nd game. He even hit out on purpose to start g3 earlier...

And why not ? ;) His first major medal. For a young player like him, CWG will be a major. Only Prakash, Syed Modi, Kashyap has won it. Great to see him add his name to the list.

Really happy with 3 gold medals and 6 total medals for India in badminton.

Lakshya's match was close. Happy that Lakshya won.
There is no way NTY should be ranked 42. At times his speed and athletism reminded me of LKY.
LCW, LZJ and now NTY,... even LKY was born in Malaysia. How does Malaysia keep producing such super fit players?

I feel like watching all the gold medal finals full matches again - especially the one of Lakshya. Is there any link to see on internet?

So in the end Malaysia won only 2 gold medals and lose out in the overall badminton medal ranking to India. A few things of my thoughts....

WS is undoubtedly the weakest among all. Kisona didn't play and GJW still need a lot of buck up.

WD is the best performance currently in CWG as there is a lack of stronger opponents and Pearly and Thianaah did perform up to standard.

MD performance is so disappointing in such that both MD crashed out in the semis. Chia/soh spectacular collapse in the semi is just unexplainable. On the other hand, CPS/TKM is like a pair that not going to win the championship in the first place and certainly a big mistake by BAM to even send in this pair as if caused them to perform worse in their more important event, XD. I still can't comprehend BAM decision at time. Some onr please explain the logic to me, why risk your XD titles for A weaker chance in MD?

MS perhaps its the bright spot. NTY while did not win the individual tournament, did an outstanding performance. The only concern i have is to see him purposely losing G2 (twice!) by hitting outs to start game 3 just because he was trailing a couple of points.

I think more than anything NTY lost out on stamina and some needful experience although LS is the younger player. Fix that and watch out LS. Remember he is still only top 40, while LS already is in the 10s.

From yesterday's match, the level was quite close. Could the MAS coaches help NTY to turn the result? I feel the MAS coaches didn't contribute/help much whereas LS's Korean coach was more enterprising and dynamic.

Players have adopted to LKY’s play style after his “ surge in “ WC. Play the control game and his mistakes will come, that will be free points for LKY’s opponent. And he needs a new coach as his current one is unable to spot and improve his game and mistakes

NTY could have employed counter attack on 2nd game to conserve his energy. By game 3, he already looked quite gassed as he keep smashing on Game 2 and LSen with his incredible retrieving skills made his looked frustrated and making errors.

NTY might be less fit but building up to a top world level in fitness needs time. After LZJ sudden departure, I bet NTY has been on an accelerated program.

He wasn’t a high intensity player before and he looks like he needs extra time to build up and his body adapt to the higher intensity.

Have to be careful he doesn’t suddenly get an injury that might set him back three months. But you know Malaysia badminton is typically impatient and demanding and want results yesterday.

The guy will need a rest and use the world championships as experience. Every match there, win or lose is for experience.

Ng Tze Yong's is physically, esp stamina-wise, not as good as Lee Zii Jia
Agree, he lost on stamina. Certainly a MAS player to watch out for going forward.

There was an online news "The Star ", where it was published that Malaysia won the Team event with 3-0. If i am not wrong, the score should be 3-1 as Sindhu won her WS match . Hope news publishers publish it after checking the stats first.
