I am with you on this. They are not good enough and play like jaded warriors, The MS are not getting anywhere as well. But how do the junors get into the tournament, They dont have enough ranking points .

The recent tournament has shown that to be a champion you need an attacking game. China's WS have good basic skills which are an asset but they can't score points from their smashes. They also lack leg strength.

Not impressed with Why's game against Kai Shaefer today. Unless he is taking it easy.

Is Why injured? He is lifting all the time and you never see his attacking game anymore. It's all so disappointing. Let's hope SFX and LSF will cheer us up tomorrow .

Congratulations LWK/WC beating the world champions . I expected their second meeting would be interesting. They and the mixed doubles are the only bright spots for China.
In MS only Malaysia are producing new talents. They have their juniors playing in Europe at the moment.. All the others haven't really produced anyone interesting.
Come on CBA, why dont you send the 15 to 18 year olds to participate in Europe like you did before the Pandemic ?

Must be that zero covid policy. At present, there are few flights internationally into China. For ordinary China citizens to return to China, many are choosing to travel to HK, quarantine 7 days in hotel, then travel by land border into mainland China into another quarantine just to get back into the country. Very arduous.

Will the China team plan to stay in Thailand after the World Championships?

Yes covid is a problem. But if nothing is done the juniors will be disheartened. Maybe one solution is to arrange the tournaments in China. Provinces to send teams to compete against the juniors. Maybe some countries can be invited as well.
Or have an agreement with asean countries to compete against each others juniors. I am sure they all have the same problems.

LWK/WC was noticeable in not using their strong smashes in their semifinal match .I think they were trying not to aggravate some muscle injuries
All the players have been involved in six tournaments and some of them will be getting tired in the next tournament in Singapore. I think WHY is also tending to some injuries but took part to gain ranking points. Noticeable that he didnt use strong smashes as well.

Definitely it’s a problem but your suggested solutions are absolutely not able to be done.

All countries do not have the same problem. It’s mainland China that has a different policy to the other countries and the problem affects its own players.

Other countries have opened their borders freely. China hasn’t and we don’t know when it will.

In todays. Singapore Open we see the WHY that we saw before. He is faster and stronger. He qualified easily against SFX and Kai Shaefer.

Why is so disappointing losing to KN. His smashes are too safe. They are not near the sidelines and are easily read. No reverse crosscourt smashes in his repertoire.

I honestly thought WHY would lose if he couldn't win G2, and actually he did. Naraoka could read and returned all his shots, consequently he's the one to make errors first.

Why has one gear. He doesn't change his speed. ZJP has a few gears and his tempo varies. His smashes are delayed and is nearer the sidelines. WHY hasn't progressed and is fading.

Interesting to see how LSF play against KW today. Also looking forward to LWK/ WC s game as well

If LSF loses that is the end of China's MS. What a disaster. It emphasises the need to bring up new faces from the juniors. I really think a revamp of the CBA board is necessary to chart a new beginning
