A breakthrough for Tunjung, first ever semifinal in BWF top tier tour for INA WS, she proves last week victory over Yamaguchi is no fluke as she reproduced same triumph but experienced tougher match here to succeed in three games. The World Champion obviously is far from her usual tidy style, inaccurate-proned and uncomfortable with Tunjung shots whose playing style mirrors her idol Tai TY. Interesting to watch how she navigate her shots to face and break the very steady defense Korean star who outpaced Intanon yesterday. Tokyo Olympic Games rematch once again, Chen was really alert and understanding well her rival weakness point, fully confident to vanquish Okuhara despite she was trailed behind most times in second game. Tai Tzu Ying replicates her winning over Sindhu, she implemented more attacking shot rather than construsted her expertise net play. Her uncontrollable mistakes had ruined winning plot last week, the eccentric Taiwanese ace regularly present unpredictable showing.

None of all MS semifinalists who have tasted S500 title, Ng KL clinched HKG Open 2016 when its still called of Superseries. Other contestants comprise of the underdogs to survive until this stage. INA back-up Wardoyo begins to exhibit progressive development, beat more favoured compatriot Ginting who can't capitalise golden opportunity in the deficiency of top guns attendance. Lu GZ, long-time stagnated player who set to be China leading man but hasn't reflect it yet thus far. Prannoy, 2022 SUI Open beaten finalist and part of IND historical Thomas Cup winning team actually has good technical skill but plagued by injury and inconsistency, the Indian edged past Tsuneyama, held his nerves well in second game, grabbed four consecutive points to seal the match.

The world #10 pair avenge their defeat in INA open couple of weeks ago, backing by electrifying crowd the home faves beat Rahayu/Ramadhanti in scintillating style. Fast interception at the front area then combined by Pearly Tan brilliant drop shots score point effectively to outmaneuver the Indonesian who showed sign of litte fatigue. Their fast and furious game will be tested by current world best Chen/Jia. Matsuyama/Shida cover Japan flop in this discipline to stay on and will up against Korean latest prospect Jeong NE/Kim HJ.

Rivaldi/Mentari beat last two opponents who stunned most fancied pairs previously en route to final four, what bizarre pattern. A breeze for INA mixed doubles camp that produced uninspiring feat lately, 2017 World Junior Champions have THA rising stars Jomkoh/Paewsampran to overcome who dispose Watanabe/Higashino through their powerful attacking game. Zheng/Huang practically just await another title, getting better and better day by day.

Promoted from reserved list, Liang WK/WC don’t waste the chance to perform beyond expectation, the Chinese young duo beat several high profile combinations when managed INA Masters runner up recently and they did same feat yesterday to conquer Workd Champs Hoki/Kobayashi. Perhaps China could expect more from this new partnership in their quest to seek world beaters to replace Li/Liu. Aaron Chia/Soh WY oppose Alfian/Ardianto will be most anticipated clash especially for the spectators, how far the Malaysian can cope immense pressure will determine the outcome.

I just couldn't interpret that situation. Did the line judge change his original judgment, or what?

If I remember correctly, the opponent smashed in on the sideline but the line judge called out and he challenged.

Actually, when the opponent smashed on the line, he raised his hands thinking line judge will call that OUT. But that was IN. Umpire asked him whether he wanted to challenge it?. If i am not wrong, he misunderstood or something , i dont know, he said yes.

I may remember wrong, but Lin Dan raised his hand, and umpire asked then if he wants to challenge.

Fajar arguably the most skillful player in MD, and he's so deceptive too.

Chia/soh doesn't know what to do, they're getting outplayed in the flat game & service situation.

Looks like the MAS pair just lost all hopes of winning a title ( or going to a Final for that matter). I mean 3SF in 4 tours arent bad but for them it sounds the worst. They need to win a title asap.

Both players arent in good condition and at 25, might never be. Aaron already looks as overweight as KooKeanKiat and only at 25. With plasters and achepain all over his body prolly.

Yes All Indonesian Finals for tomorrow MD
    :)

FajRi look nervous in the crunch time of Game 2: served to the net consecutively… I was still quite upset after what happened in the final last weekend MAS Open,,, fearing that they would lost rhythm and focus in Game 3… but afterall their performance at Game 3 today is top notch,,, if FajRi is laser focus on the game, it will be very tough for the opponent.
    :)

    I’ll cheer for FajRi tomorrow!
