Tired of seeing Fajri's performance like this. Even bagas/fikri presents a tougher match to hoki/kobayashi. Ardianto is good, but he is often unstable especially in the final round. Maybe pairing bagas/fajar is worth trying.
Fajar and Rian need to face good opponent to grow, their gap between daddies and minion is quite big. Only Minion and Daddies can beat Takuro/Yugo, I don't think Lee/Wang or even Aaron/Soh can beat Japanese MD right now.
Probably but KM looks like he has no sheer will to win and fight on court for every shuttle like he used to. He looks like a spectator of his own match. Surely there are other limitations but I think his motivation to be on court is too low.
Doubt so Japanese pair mental strength too great. Mental strength more important then talent in this discipline
Nope, bagas/fikri and kusumawardana/rambitan are also able to beat hoki/kobayashi. Fajri is also very capable of defeating them as long as Rian is not nervous like an amateur player
Huh ? the h2h between fajar/rian and hoki/koba was 2-2 before this match, so it's an even match up. I don't think that's what fajar/rian need right now, they have beaten every good pair in top 10, what they actually need is to finally win a bigger tournament. so far the best tournament they can win is super 500 tournament.
Man... i was hoping some fight from momota fresh legs. If he were to play full games on those walk over, maybe he will lose. So sad for this guy. Time to retire. Pls put up a petition. lol Hoki is solid in defence. Cool as a cucumber. Told u the next JJS
in thomas cup if i'm not mistaken, but after that they were again defeated by hoki/koba in the thailand open.
Yeah, so much so I thought for a moment Zheng Yu might be crouching and grimacing to the extent that she has to concede the match (and an ambulance called to admit her to hospital) - if she's hit with the strings section, bad enough but survivable; imagine, it's the racquet frame or shaft that whacked her head with smashing force, she might've fainted and who knows what next...drama.
Five different nations sharing one title each in MAS Open... INA Open MS final déjà vu, lopsided match even worse in terms of shocking scoreline (21-4 / 21-7). Axelsen is simply superb, flawless against familiar rival while Momota showed contrary fashion, disarray, poor accuracy, misjudgment, mentally crumbled, his usual solid defense can’t work properly to stem the Dane sharp smash. It’s smooth way for the Olympic Champion to bag first ever S750 title. The Japanese grotesque form is inexplicable, self-belief has gone to raise a big question whether he could return to winning path. Perhaps only Ginting and Lee ZJ could trouble Axelsen current unbreakable status but sadly those two players often grappling with consistency problem. Intanon recaptures 2016 WS crown and ends title drought to beat her biggest nemesis. She applies exact tactic to play faster, more aggressive to bombard and disrupt CYF steady rhythm. The Olympic Champ trying to create magic comeback once again in third set as she did marvelously to frustrate Tai TY yesterday but it’s too late to reject former world champion from triumph even though Intanon began exhausted. China players slowly regain domination in this category that spearheaded by Chen when their major opponents getting older year by year (Tai TY, Intanon, Sindhu, Okuhara, Marin). A hat trick for Zheng/Huang to continue invincible feat, once they created in pre pandemic era. Thai duo had quite wrong strategy and look helpless to provide easy target that punished by Zheng SW deadly smash, they should push the mighty rivals more to the back line, slow down the tempo instead of following the Chinese monstrous speed Well balanced competition in MD final in first two games, Alfian/Ardianto ran out of steam after lost opening game and gave all out attack in second game, the high intensity atmosphere waned drastically in the third. Rahayu/Ramadhanti complete job nicely and beyond expectation to pick maiden BWF tour title in their newly-minted partnerships, playing three tournaments together including Hanoi SEA Games prior to this event, absolutely the pair to watch out for current all top-ranked combinations.
Even the presence of Zhang Jun and Christian Hadinata will mean nothing if the mentality of the players is like that. LOL....
