I think only Man/Tee gave a proper fight to Hoki/Kobayashi before out of all the Malaysian pairs who play them...and they're the 3rd and most junior pair. Idk if BAM still going to stick with Soh/Chia and Izzudin/Goh after this. Both didn't perform well this tournament. Sent from my SM-A307GN using Tapatalk
You really expect Izzudin/Goh to do well against the indonesia pair? And Soh/Chia was always expected to lose. Mentally, they have issues. They cannot even close up their match against Ahsan yesterday. Actually they already did better then expected by going so far.
After Indonesia, now it's Malaysia's turn to feel the tastelessness of the final round without a host representative
I think BAM might start pushing Man/Tee or some other junior pair more now. For some reason most MAS MD can't seem to last a long time before getting replaced. Actually Soh/Chia and Izzudin/Goh already have a lot of chances compared to their seniors who they also replaced like Goh/Tan and Ong/Teo. Actually BAM can just give equal attention to all the players instead of replacing them but I am not sure that's how they operate. Sent from my SM-A307GN using Tapatalk
actually should give another potential players such as Haikal/Arif (both left handed), Chen Tang Jie who playing mixed double should change to play mens double…
Malaysia Open without Malaysian player in final round is more happening than Indonesia Open without Indonesian player in final…
see next week Malaysia masters, whether there at least one Malaysia representative in final round or not…
There's actually a lot of junior players BAM can choose from, other than Haikal/Arif or Man/Tee,also has Roy King,Wei Jie(I would try to put these two together). For me Man/Tee still play better than Haikal/Arif though, based on their results in the same tournaments. I think Chen Tang Jie is ok in XD but not sure about his partner, should try him with Toh Ee Wei or just put back with Peck. The current new combination is worse than the old combination. Idk why BAM bring back Chan Peng Soon also, can use that money to develop the juniors. Sent from my SM-A307GN using Tapatalk
if Indonesia can bring back Ahsan/Setiawan, why cannot bring Chan Peng Soon anyway, that's my point of view...
Goh and Izzudin is doing pretty well in my opinion actually. I think they can beat almost every pair accept for the pairs in the final As for Soh/Chia, I think Soh is really mentally week. Maybe need a replacement. I dun think malaysia really have many doubles player. Technically they are very weak to be honest. I am talking about the juniors
IDK why malaysia is a little behind in developing young MD players, Currently there are no famous Malaysian junior players. While Malaysia still relies on Aaron/Woii Yik and Goh/Din, Indonesia already has Pram/Yere, Bagas/Fikri and Carnando/Martin who are ready to compete at the top level.
One of the biggest answer is TFR.. maybe not in 2000s born but it will get even worst in future say 2020s born.. playing in 2040. It will be hard to compete against INA. while Indonesia TFR is still healthy above 2. Those EastAsia countries barely have a child now, how to have better athletes for the future. Somehow we are not Denmark who can have someone like Axelsen despite only 3 mill populations and even less kids. of course , it could be down to selection as well.
yeah AaronSoh havent won a title yet, not even 1 International title. Have only won SeaGames which LeoDaniel have won too. While BagasFikri to me is a so so pair already won AE, if thats the only title they win in their career they would have achieved more then AaronSoh and PramYere is BAC champion and already beaten them in BAC (and should have been in IO as well but the thing is they are still MAS best pair, you look at their results its quite consistent. They simply cant win a title.
