BWF earlier received criticism from the MAS and INA fans for the draw against fellow countrymen. I think it also Aaron Chia that said: We came to Europe not to fight our compatriots (in German Open.)

You know, when I first noticed Momota properly in Indonesia Open 2015 against Parupalli Kashyap.

I noticed his movement was very similar to Messi. Very short steps and sudden injection of extreme speed while going backwards.

His movement alone was very attacking even if his more meta game was neutralizing based.

KM will learn more from this defeat. He now knows he has to adjust training to keep the higher speed up for longer during the match.

We've been saying that for a long time now and time isn't waiting for him. It's now or never. :(

Did you watch the Momota vs Ginting in INA open 2015 also?

LZJ had so much more left in the tank. Momota’s smashes got weaker and his shots more loose with every passing point. By 14-11 I could see LZJ wasn’t about to let this one slip. Too bad his annoying ‘2nd set is a free throw’ mentality is still there.

Honestly it's harder now than ever for him being older to train like that. I used to think he had an amazing ability to read his opponents shots - we have seen less of that after his accident and covid

Nice to see Tesena coaching for Thailand. Used to watch him play a lot.

Momota show to young players like Kulavut, Brian Yang, Lakshya Sen, ... how to defense Lee ZJ's smashes.

I hope Nishimoto can learn it. Just watch the second game.

I felt the same. Back in those 2014-2015 days, he had that ability yo quickly take off from his base position, and convert any shuttle over the head into a smash. His round the head smashes straight smashes were delightful to watch.

so another lifter did not lift with quality - so bye bye - this is what you get when attack is as good as LZJ was able to pull off at the second half of G3 :D so difficult to hear that one sided commentating when Momota/Axelsen play

    I was thinking:

"He Bing Jiao is in top shape. Maybe a first All England championship for her".

    Well, I guess not.

I remember WC2019 in basel with the fake match between Li/Liu and ZN/LC whereas Kamura/Sonoda did a great match against Hoki/Kobayashi. No wonder people likes Japanese attitude more than Chinese Mafia...
