Quite honestly, this could be similar as in in Tennis, where an overhyped "next gen" of inflated egos (Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas, you know who it is in Badminton) gets overtaken by a less hyped, more talentend younger group with a lot better personalities (Sinner, Alcaraz, FAA), before they can win more than a handful of important tournaments. I'm all here for it.
Don't wanna jinx her but I can already see PV Sindhu losing to Sayaka Takahashi for the third consecutive time. And all these delaying tactics from her so early in the match are pathetic to watch. She can do so much better than this.
@kurako lolling on the sofa with popcorn and pepsi, hoping for a vintage Momota of Superman Years aka 2015-19
I mean all these little steps she takes. Adjusting her position and doing this weird thing with her feet before serving or receiving a serve. She kinda takes it a bit too far for my liking. Instead of doing all that she should really focus on the game and get on with it. But that's just my opinion. And she lost the first game, deservedly so.
he's definitely a top 5 player even in his current form. All players have some sort of weaknesses , no one is perfect, this kind of analysis about attack and defence can be done for every player after every game .
She's been using these delaying tactics a lot. Quite irritating. She'll just wander around the court and act like umpire isn't taking her name.
I'm not watching her match. But in other matches which I've seen she does this a lot. "She'll just wander around the court and act like umpire isn't taking her name."
Not always but she definitely does that purposefully, specially when she's behind in the scoreline. Adjusting your court position is something which everyone does I reckon that but there's a fine line. But again, it's just my opinion. Even Anders Antonsen tries to buy as much time as he can by delaying, Wang Shixian used to do it too. Kind of kills the thrill of watching the match.
