They both knew each other games very well. No excuses. But i felt Lakshya Sen's defense is not upto the mark in his right hand side today. Hope he recover soon for the next week.

KV is the greatest wanker of all :) so if that day someone can not get through his defense then great, but his attack skills are just pathetic, so he just waits for the mistake - almost always, and when he tried couple of times to hit winners from the further even beaten up LS was able to return winners straight away. so some players do not even bother running that long grueling rallies if the attack is not there :)

If Nishimoto has a little of energy in deciding game, he could beat Kunlavut at the third round, at 17-13.

That is quite an observation on KV. In fact, it applies to both these youngsters. Many of us talk here that they both have an excellent defense that frustrates many attacking players. However, I feel what we may fail to notice that both have an excellent basic rallying game that is hard to match even for those top 10 players. This tournament is quite an illustration of that.

In terms of their own attack- KV has a harder smash, but doesn’t have the quick foot movements to position himself in the attacking position, and LS the exact opposite of that. This makes both of them ineffective attackers.

yeah, he was out of gas at 17-13 and lost 18-21. The last shot, Nishimoto cannot even move his hand to hit the shuttle back. gdgdfb vcbcvgfdgdf34343.jpg

LS has way more explosive attack, he can create his own winners from deep back even against VA, but definitely lower consistency than KV, but todays match should not be even considered, it is commendable that under such conditions he stayed on court and even managed to get so a lot of points. hope he can recover until AE, but very doubt about that.

Lakshya Sen failed to perform his best today, maybe fatigue or blisters took its toll on him.

I think that no Malaysian believe that they win MD today, so all Malaysian in this forum went to sleep ^-^

Malaysian just take care of king Lee Zii Jia with his magic backhand smash.

I knew Izzudin/Fei would win. I also knew Kunlavut would win. They wouldn't pass up the opportunity to win their first World Tour title.

Malaysia has 4 good MD and 3 good MS now and they're all quite young. Maybe Thomas Cup is a real possibility.

The unstoppable Bass/Popor have perfect start in new season to clinch XD crown, 6th consecutive title since Hylo Open (October 2021). The Chinese new combo looks awry to deal with Thai duo formidable defense also some deceptions as well. The World Champions have different level of play lately, versatility in all aspects, defense, net, attacking, speed, a complete package and affirming their presence as supreme threat for the Chinese in title contention ahead.

The reborn He Bingjiao finally beat more illustrious compatriot the Olympic Champion Chen Yufei since KOR Open 2019, an entertaining WS final duel, most notable part was marvelous rally in last point, that's insane as the finalists could retrieve shuttlecock in off position, absolutely epic! Both players demonstrating their expertise and strong determination particularly second game as Chen seemed quite off colour in opener. He BJ proves her new look for nothing, accuracy aspect is the most important of her tremendous transformation, she has fantastic net play to score point efficiently, cross court tight net shot ala Tai TY or Intanon, very difficult shot to execute well.

Again, Women's Doubles served another marathon match that contains tons of monotonous rally, Chen/Jia prevailed at the end after fought fiercely to overcome the extremely good shape Stoeva sisters. The Chinese produced all out effort to score every point, even second game completed in sudden death scoreline 30-29 and the gruelling battle continued in decider, what an arduous and tiring course to find the winner.

Three-time World Junior Champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn break his duck to snatch maiden BWF World Tour title after three unsuccessful campaign in previous finals against reigning Olympic Champion. The Thai prodigy most prominent skill nothing but almost unbreakable defense and steady play, he's incredible retriever combined with patience, he will unleash smash if the angle is precise. Sen didn't perform his best as semifinal contest, committed errors more regularly and slightly dictated by Vitidsarn. If he could play faster and more aggressive perhaps would trouble his contemporary rival to create final match more enthralling. Highly likely badminton fans will witness their rivalry in future years.

A breakthrough for fourth-ranked Malaysian pair to pocket S300 title as coaching director Rexy Mainaky is happy with this victory, Goh SF/Izzuddin deny Liu YC/Ou XY fairy-tale ending, world #17 pair avoided to lift shuttlecock too much that punished by their tall opponent lethal smash, preferred to apply flat game to earn point. It's still early to gauge Chinese new combination quality in just one tournament appearance, the easy target is Ou Xuanyi who curbed by indecision and the elementary mistakes.

KV's foot from instagram. Some say it looked worst than LS's injury. He also had many blisters on his fingers from diving. The match wasn't easy for KV as LS was not "100%" as some might say. In the end we could probably agree that they were both playing with painful blisters, but KV came out on top.

at this juncture, i am quite convinced that most of them actually play with blisters. hope the advancement of technology can help to prevent it so that they are not suffering while playing.

Someone here said the blisters are due to Yonex socks. Is this true?

Is this a self consolating post?

Did you know that the blister on KV is much worse than Sen and at a more painful spot! Go his IG story and you can see.

So, KV should be even more commenable isn't it?
