CBA has decided that Tang Ning will play in WD in the next Olympics cycle.
    https://m.weibo.cn/status/4731285396525700?
    Below is the Google translation.
On January 29, Beijing time, according to domestic Internet media,[IMG]Tan Ning, the first place in women's singles and women's doubles in the Chinese badminton team's training team selection, finally decided to join the women's doubles team to prepare for the Paris Olympics after comprehensive consideration by the coaching staff.

Tan Ning can be said to be the most powerful young female athlete in the country since the Tokyo Olympics. She was born in 2003 and is now 18 years old. Since the 2021 National Games, she has grown into the most watched player in the country. At the National Games, Tan Ning won the fourth place in the women's singles. At that time, the top three players were all the most powerful players in Guoyu, Chen Yufei, He Bingjiao and Wang Zhiyi. Not long ago, Guoyu held a team selection, and she won the first place in women's singles and women's doubles. She is characterized by strong explosiveness, great smashing power, and excellent offensive ability.

The coaching staff conducted an in-depth argument about whether she joined the women's singles group or the women's doubles group. In the end, it was decided to join the women's doubles group. There are two reasons for estimation. The first is Tan Ning's technical characteristics. She is a stout player, a bit like He Bingjiao's body. When playing singles with such a body type, the speed will be affected. Even if the weight is reduced, it will also affect the physical fitness. If you don't lose weight and run, the impact on your legs is also relatively large. In doubles, it is different. Doubles do not need to run all over the court, but only need to defend one acre of three points. Moreover, players like her have great smashing power, which is very suitable for today's development trend of women's doubles.

Secondly, there are still a lot of talents in the national feather women's singles, and the gradient is relatively reasonable. Chen Yufei is only 23 years old, and there is still room for improvement. He can compete in one Olympics, or even two Olympics. The women’s doubles group is different. Currently, it only relies on the mortal combination, but the mortal combination is too old, and physical injuries have begun to increase. It is very good to maintain the current state. In the future Paris Olympics, a pair of women’s doubles will definitely be needed. Help them share the pressure. Unlike the Tokyo Olympics, it was because the national feather doubles Li Yinhui/Du Yue fell and lost consecutively to South Korea and Polly. In the end, Polly won the championship. It was because the national feather second doubles did not perform well, so from the current situation Look, Tan Ning joining the women's doubles team is the most suitable for the future development of Guoyu.

Tan Ning's final entry into the women's doubles team was the result of careful consideration by the coaching staff of Guoyu, and it was also a long-term consideration. With the participation of Tan Ning, an outstanding female player, the women's team will be able to maintain its international hegemony status in the next 8 to 10 years. The next few Uber Cups should also be able to stay in China. So it's very reasonable and promising.

Yes, plus strict quarantine rules at home. I just point out about the challenging route that they may facing as consequences of frequent absence. Need longer time to groom those young talents...

Probably sorting that out now. They’ll be experimenting with different combinations.

    https://www.thestar.com.my/sport/ba...tar-pitchamon-ready-to-make-her-presence-felt

    The girl in green shirt

The two tall Chinese girls are Sun Zichun and Zhang Xinran. They don't think they have played against foreign players before.

Personally, I prefer Tan Ning to be paired with Liu Shenshu ( 18 years old).
You can see Liu Shenshu playing against Jia and Chen in the match below. Took me so long to find this video again. Liu is the girl with the short hair-cut

IMHO she is a good front court player with a height disadvantage , more suitable for mixed double. Not sure whether she is in the National Team.

Here is what Zhang Jun said after the national selection trials in Chengdu
    张军透露,"在今年年初进行的国家集训队和国家一队的升降比赛中,谭宁、刘圣书等小将都打入了一队,成为了队伍备战巴黎奥运会的新生力量."

Briefly, he said that Tan Ning and Liu Shengshu are emerging double players who will strengthen the preparations for the Olympics.

In May 2021 Lu Kai partnered his protege ,Qin Huizi (覃惠芷), 13 years younger than him to win the national mixed doubles title. The two of them also gave the reigning Olympics Champions, Wang and Huang, a hard time in the Chinese National Games. Qin Huizi is in the Chinese youth team which will participate in the WJC. You can see her play in the video below, the left-handed girl in Red.

Justfun shows the simulation matches played in Lingshui on one of its channels on a daily basis. So far I have watched only two boys play, Zhu Xuanchen ( born in 2004) and Pan Yin Long (born in 2006). They appear to be quite impressive. Haven't seen Sun Chao (born in 2005) play yet. May be he is training with the seniors in Chengdu, having placed 4th in the national trials.

No chinese players in orleans masters. A missed opportunity for lower ranked players as well as new combinations to increase their rankings.

The chance only SUI Open & KOR Open (if LSF could made the cut as Reserved #2) and perhaps KOR Masters.
Looks like CBA just prioritizing S300 tour and above to register players, so far only Lu GZ & Zhao JP can participate tournament regularly due to their adequate world ranking.

Players like weng honyang, lei lanxi,gu jufeng need to participate in lower level tournmnets to improve their rankings. Even liu liang and don tiang yao need to participate since they are not eligible to play in junior level anymore.
