My preferred INA MD pairing for 2022: Hendra Setiawan/Mohd Ahsan - just to tide over for Thomas Cup 2022 before retirement. Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan - if they continue to notch good results in the last 2 legs of the World Tour this year, they may just earn themselves a spot in the World Tour Finals! They face the eight-seeded Ivanov/Sozonov, followed by either Mark Lamsfuss/Marvin Seidel or Akira Koga/Taichi Saito for a place in the QF of the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2021 (World Tour 750) In the following week's Indonesia Open 2021 (Word Tour 1000), they face Ben Lane/Sean Vendy followed by either Ahsan/Hendra or the Denmark Open champion Hoki/Kobayashi. Mohd Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana - they had a decent European tour and should be kept Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Daniel Marthin - I see no future for Leo/Marthin or Kevin/Marcus. Better split them up. Daniel is still only 20 yo and Kevin is also just 25. They will have plenty of time and its better to test them early. Fajar Alfian/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon - similarly, I see no future for Fajar/Rian. Fajar is still only 25 yo and he needs a better partner than Rian. Sinyo will play for another few years likely. Leo Rolly Carnando - I see a better future with Indah Cahya Sari Jamil in the XD.
Once his consistency and steady focus is near his mentor LCW's level, up to 90% is good enough, I've no doubt he will be among the top 3 for quite a long while.
Siti/Ribka not bad. Feels like they can challenge the KOR pair to rubber games these days, didnt they last few tournaments? Certainly can replace GreysAp.
Feels like Leo doesnt have enough strength to play XD. He will just be like Rinov, imo. Hard to judge Fikri/Maulana. Both of them are quite gigantic for Indonesians imo so i thought they wont be that speedy. I wonder if Leo should play with Gideon. I'd say my new favourite will be Rambitan and Daniel.
Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti/Ribka Sugiarto solidify their status as INA's WD2 and potentially WD1 once Greysia/Apriyani are done. Today was their 2nd encounter against the Thai 2nd pair, having won the first one (in the Uber Cup QF clash) in 3-sets too. They will face the same Thai pair in the home tourneys in the next 2-3 weeks.
The number 2 seed win the number 8 seed of the tournament and people was happy like Lee Chong Wei can back to 20 age. Malaysia was one of powerhouse of badminton and why are you so thirsty ???
With this logic, Lin Dan would have been the underdog most of the time compared to LCW. If you count H2H instead, then LZJ was the underdog coming into the match against KW. A comeback from 6-16 is a pretty good reason to be happy in my opinion.
Woah no need to be so sass about that. He's not overrated, he's still a rising star. If his mind is set on the right track, he's only going to improve with time. Man, people are getting way touchy these days. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
If someone hope to see Lee Chong Wei version 2.0 They should consider it as a normal thing. Because Kunlavut was just a normal player. And match was not even in semi-final
Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon cruise through the SF after yet a predictable straight-set victory against the WR47 young Danish pair. They will face a tricky test against Supak Jomkoh/Kittinupong Kedren tomorrow. The Thai pair gave them a tough time last month and took one set off the top-seed in the Thomas Cup Group-Stage encounter. If they can win the Hylo Open on Sunday, they will be well on place to claim a spot at the World Tour Finals.
I also think the Daddies will let the young pair win to boost their confidence as Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin are leading 22-20, 12-8 now.
