Yeah, it's like both Momota and SYQ were unsure of themselves and the match boils down to who is worse off in the mental aspect of the match. And the opening set decided for them...what happened thereafter is inevitable. A battle of nerves, nothing else.

At least Matsumoto has moments where she shines bright and is quite skilled, hoki is just mediocre.

Do you guys think it's a clever line up in MD for Japan?
With the premise that all players are fit.

Yuta in the MD1 is a good strategy but it shouldn’t have been with hoki

That's because CHN was already 2-0 up and as he told himself, even if he failed, there's still his other colleagues to deliver the winning point.

Therefore, most of the pressure was on Momota in a do or die situation.

If Japan attack they will win. However if they don't then it is a lost as all smashes will be on Hoki and it will kill the vibe of Yuta. Keeping attack is very important.

Yeah she’s always the one who makes or breaks a match.

Hoki is such a burden this game... No chance of winning MD1 for Japan

Yuta and Kaneko could have played instead, but then maybe the ranking is too low for MD1?

I juz dun get it, why did SYQ conceded the match? It can’t be cos he was losing. He lost a ton of matches before including to momota.
